At the Patwardhan house, the visiting family is still waiting to hear what has happened to Akruti, and as the doctor comes down the stairs, everyone's eyes are pointed towards her, and in her apprehension, they too are expecting some bad news Sanket asks if Akruti has regained consciousness, and the lady doctor, the sister of the proposed bridegroom, tells them that she has not regained her consciousness, but says, that theirs has been shaken up. Her mother wants to know what exactly has happened, and her daughter goes close to her, and whispers the news into her ears. At first she tries to tell them in a round about way, and when Kaka Sridhar wants her to tell frankly what is wrong, she tells him, that his one hundred percent virgin daughter is having a child, and the pregnancy has already advanced by three months. She tells them, that Mrs. Joshi was praising her and indeed she is talented, but questions the parents, as to why they were not aware of it. Shyamal feels faint, and drops to the chair, her husband is angry, and walks up to the bedroom. The visiting family is very upset, and the mother says, there is no use of wasting more time here, and they walk away from the house, leaving the Patwardhans to figure out how and when they tragedy struck their home.
In Lonavla, in Ms Sharma's home, Naina is listless, and can not focus her mind on anything. Her teacher tries to keep her occupied, and alerts her when she forgets the flame on the cxooker, and also when she was serving food for the children. A long time elapses, in Naina recalling the previous eveining, and every word that came on the lips of Daksh and what she gave him in return, and she does not know how to handle her feelings. When they are in this turmoil, the kids come running and tell, that the roads to Mumbai are blocked. Little Priya with the doll, says, some lanterns have fallen, and her companion corrects her and tells her they are landslides. Naina is upset and thinks about Daksh and wants to find out. Ms Sharma tells her to call Daksh, and Naina tells her that he has forgotten the phone at home. Then she calls a friend in Mumbai and asks if the person who was coming to Lonavla passed through, and they tell her that due to landslides, he has been stranded on the road. Ms Sharma wonders if Daksh managed to get through, and hopes he has not taken the old road, which is dangerous and in poor condition, especially due to rain. Naina can not stay idle any longer, and she snatches the car keys of her teacher's car and rushes on to the road. Passing people tell her not to proceed and she insists on doing her own and goes ahead, and lands at a road block, being attended by a police man. She asks him questions, and he gets exasperated at her, and calls her his mother, and pleads with her to go home. She asks him where the old road is, and he tells her all roads are closed, yet, she tries to move on, and gets her wheels stuck in mud, and is also stranged on the road, with enough time to think of what had happened and how she handled the whole thing, and now she regrets her behaviour.
In Joshi's house the father is perplexed trying to calm his volatile daughter who does not want to be calm. When he tells her to take things easy, she retorts and does not want to listen to him. In the meantime, the mother comes in and says she has something to show her little girl, which will make her happy, but her little girl has no time for her. Her husband tries to be rude to her, and says things which one should not say to his wife. For the wife, her husband is "Mr. Joshi." - the all important and powerful lawyer, who looks at the card she has broght from the printers, and tears it to shreds, and says, that he wants to break this marriage, as he does not want a boy, who has no respect for his daughter, and stays back in Lonavla,with his girl friend's teacher. He says, if he shows such iresponsible character now, what will he do when his daughter marries him. The wife is in a dilemma, but the daughter pouts her mouth, and in her own high pitch voice, announces, that whatever any one may say, she will still marry Daksh and break her relationship with anyone who opposes her, even if it is her father, and the father is aghast and with wide open eyes, wonders what
has happened to his family.
In the pre-cap, Kaka Sridhar, is up in arms, and accuses his wife of lack of vigilance over her daughter, and for doing things against his will. There is a lot of verbal assault, and the clueless wife, simpers like a beaten up rag doll.
