TOI: Phulwa to take a time leap

One of the pivotal characters of Phulwa played byAngad Hasija will bid adieu to the show. The actor who catapulted to fame with Bidaai is currently playing the unconventional role of a husband to a much younger Phulwa (Jannat Zubair) in the namesake show, which apparently is loosely based on the life of bandit Phoolan Devi.

It was touted to be one of the biggest shows for the channel, but has so far failed to rake in high Television Rating Points (TRPs).

It is now gearing up for a ten year leap, sometime in the second week of August since the story of young Phulwa is over. Producer Siddarth Tewary confirms, "Yes, we are taking a leap and moving ahead, but I would not like to disclose the story."

Will the leap help the serial hold on to its prime time slot? Well, time will tell.
