It was only the sound of happiness that was floating around inside Varma house. Everyone met with a smile on their face. Mohan was holding Chudki proudly and showing his friends around. And enjoyed the teasing from his friends and proudly smiled with them.

Daadi: Mohan , she needs to be fed too, you are holding her nicely so only she is sleeping comfortably.

Mohan: ji

Rohini came and took the baby from Mohan's arms and went back side of the house.

"here this is our princess's daughter, sleeping, soon she will change her color if she did not get her food, so I thought to show you her before she get into her room."

Rohini held the baby nicely showing up her face, the village ladies made their comments,

Daadi: Rohini

Rohini: ha maaji

Rohini looking at the visitors: let me take her to her mom, or she will split this house into two within no time.

Saying that she climbed the stairs.

Radhika was settling back in her room. She was standing near the basinet. She saw Rohini walking in

"mom , this is really cute"

Rohini: I know Radhika, its all your daadi's and Rahul's work, and little bit from your babuji

Radhika: is she sleeping still, then put her in this, let see

Rohini: no I am going to wake her up, its been long, you need to feed her.

Radhika : ha

She sat on a chair comfortably and tried to get settled while Rohini was opening Chudki's comfy wraps, to wake her up.

Suddenly Dev came up : mom, somebody came and babuji is asking for Chudki

Rohini placing the wraps away: no way, she needs to be fed.

Dev: so what do I tell him

Rohini: don't worry, just tell him she is

Suddenly Lechu showed up: Maaji, babuji calling you downstairs

Rohini:now what?

Lechu: I think somebody came and saying that she walked away

Rohini: I wish Suchi stayed back

Dev: Mom, tell me , I can help

Rohini: ok beta, just give her in Radhika's lap once she is all set, ok.

Dev: ji

Rohini: close this door ok, or else someone will just rush in, and Radhika won't be comfortable,ok beta

Dev: ji

Dev tried to take his baby in hand " Hai my princess'

She opened her eyes, and soon the irritation was showing up on her forehead and her lips, and she tried to move in his hold and started her siren slowly and then to its maximum

Dev: don't try to tease me now, I know you are hungry, that is why you are crying , right. One second

Dev placed her comfortably in Radhika's lap.

Dev: its all your mistake Radhika

Radhika was trying to get that comfort posture

Dev: you did not eat well na, so only now she is crying this loud to get her food.

Radhika supported the baby's head well and she felt better as the baby latched on.

Dev: see now she is silent, I told you that now I know you better, didn't I?

His hand just slide over Radhika's arms and she said: ouch

Dev: what?

Radhika: your hands are so cold, no wonder she was crying loud

Dev: really

Radhika: um

Dev: I am so sorry beta, is that was cold

He tried to touch baby's skin again, and she stopped sucking and frowned her forehead

Radhika: don't touch her, your hands are really cold

Dev: ok baba, then what do I do?

Radhika: you simply sit there ok

Dev: yes Boss

Radhika was concentrating more on her baby's face and her feeding

Dev sitting back at the edge of the bed, started looking at Radhika. Time ticked by. He noticed the frowning forehead, and then the tightening of her lips in pain.

Dev coming down to his knees: Radhika you ok

Radhika: I am getting this cramps, its so painful

Dev: what can I do?

Radhika: I don't know, OMG! Its so painful

Dev got frstrated: Can I call mom?

Radhika: I think it may go away, OMG! It's so painful

Dev got up and held her shoulder, and helplessly called her: Radhikaaa

Radhika shut her eyes tight and then tolerated those cramps, but she continued to hold her baby safetly in her arms without a movement.

Dev looked at the baby's face, and found her comfortably sucking.

Dev: Radhika, you want me to take the baby?

Radhika: no, its fine, I can tolerate it

Dev: But Radhika

Radhika kept her silence, and after few minutes she felt the weakening of Baby's lips on her, that she slowly opened her eyes and looked at her baby.

She was wide awake and was looking at her mom's face

Radhika forgot her pain for a moment and she said: look at her, she is wide awake

Dev: hu!

Radhika: look at her

Dev: ok let me take her, how is your pain now?

Radhika: its ok, but look at her

Dev coming front kneeled down: Hai my Princess, do you want to come to papa, come

Radhika: first you warm up your hands, then she may come

Dev suddenly rubbed his hands together and then took his princess from her lap, and stood on his feet with a smile on his lips.

By then Rohini came in: beta, is it time to burp her

Radhika: oh maa, I forgot, she is wide awake and smiling

Rohini: did she drink

Radhika: ha mom

Rohini: Dev, give her in my arms, let me burp her quickly and will give her back to you ok

Dev: ha maaji

He watched as Rohini tried to tap on his baby's back, but instead of the burp , she spit out the milk she just sucked in

Dev: oh mom

Rohini with a smile: see, she is really naughty. Let me clean her, maybe she needs nappy change too

Saying that Rohini started acting quick

Dev: How is your pain Radhika

Radhika: better

Suddenly suchi came in: so what is our Chudki doing?

Dev: she throw up

Suchi: what?

Rohini: nothing Suchi, he is simply

Dev: mom, Radhika was in pain and she was almost crying out

Suchi: didn't you take the painpill

Radhika: no, I was gettig gdischarged and was not feeling any pain at that moment, so

Suchi: no beta, take it for another two days, you may get those cramps again especially while feeding, so it is better to take it.

Dev: nothing, to ask mom only

Suchi: ha ha, now we are here, you go to the front, bhayya was asking about you

Rohini with a smile: what? Today, this is nothing, they will keep coming, I want Radhika to get some rest, that's' all.

Radhika tried to rest in bed, a lady came up with a smiley face. Time just passed so quick for them, that it was getting dark outside.

Surender: Babuji didn't come yet!

But then they didn't see Daadaji behind him

Sunder: saabji went back to haweli, he told me to come here and inform you guys

Surender: he went home, we were expecting him here

Sunder: ha, he was feeeling little tired after all this trip.

Mohan: what tired? He Never get tired, I never seen him tired.

Sunder: he is fine, but

Dev: Dad, I will go and bring him

Mohan: no beta, if he is tired, let him take rest

Listening tot heir talk Sushma: but I didn't cook anything there, I thought babuji is coming here,and what you are saying; he is tired!!

Sunder: ji, he said he will be fine

Suddenly sushma stepped down: Mohan bhayya I am leaving, tell Rohini ok

Mohan: wait I am also coming

Surender: no Mohan , you be here, I am going with her

Dev: dad, I am coming too

Mohan: me too come

Surender: no mohan, see Dev also coming, if there is anything I will call you ok.

Mohan stepped back hesistantly

As they were walking near to the vehicle sunder walked near to Dev naturally and said in soft voice: he felt giddiness once and rested on the way for sometimes, I told him that we can go to a doctor, but he denied and said he is fine.

Dev just turned once and looked back at Sunder's face

Sunder: saabji told me not to tell anyone.

Dev understood the tone of this person who felt like breaking that trust of his saabji

Dev: it's ok, I will take care

Dev: dad, one second, let me tell to Radhika , I will be right back

Surender: ha

Within fraction of seconds dev flashed in, Mohan walked near to Surender and was chatting, when Dev came back.

Dev: let's go dad, I can drive

Saying that he went to the driver's side and soon they drove away to the haweli

Mohan was impatyiently waiting for the call, and he ran near to it as soon he heard the ring sound

As expected it was surender: Mohan, dad is fine, he was sitting at the front chair when we came up and he said he thought of coming but then it was all dark and he already send sunder , so he stayed back.

Mohan: but sunder said he was feeling tired

"all that gone after taking a nice shower , don't worry beta, I am fine" the sound of Babuji, made Mohan's mind clear of his anxiety.

Mohan: your great grand daughter is waiting to see her great grand pa

Yeshpal: ha, I am coming, I am coming , I will be there tomorrow morning to hold her in my arms, now it is already dark and she may be sleeping

Mohan: nice excuse,

Yeshpal: bootha hogaya na, she will forgive me

The voice tried to shake but before that he handed the phone to Surender and walked into the darkness of the outside varanda.

Dev's eyes just followed him, he saw the look of Sushsma on him, and no talks, it was dadaji who was talking, as if he is forcing that smile on his face to smile at surender and trying to make it light. He totally ignored Sushma and sushma did not question her babuji, just went to kitchen saying ' let me cook some thing'.

Dev stood there watching his daadaji , who may be trying hard to hide somehting in that darkness. Words of Sunder echoed in his ears.

Sushma came in: Dev, your Phone , I think it is Radhika

Dev: hello, ha everything is fine, Dadaji is walking around, I am staying back, ha dad will come to pick Mom and Lechu. He listened... ha, you take care, take the medication, give my princess a lovely kiss , tell her that I will be there in the morning, ok.

He hang up the phone. Somewhere he was feeling the heaviness which was not clear for him. He saw Surender walking near to Dadaji and both of them talking on something.

Later surender went to pick up Suchi and Lechu. Dev stayed back in that shade of darkness as he saw Sushma walking near to her babuji. He tried to listen, he felt like a thief at that moment, a stalker, why he needs to do that, what is forcing him to do it, why he stayed back, he was unable to find an answer, he did what his mind asked him to do. Somewhere the fear of unknown was engulfing him. But there was nothing new that he said back to Sushma than what he said to Surender and he heard Sushma complaining: then you should have come to Radhika's house. and dadaji pacifying her by saying : we all will go tomorrow and will spend the entire day there, ok. Sushma walked away like a kid who complaint to her dad about not getting enough time to play around, and dadaji acted just like any other dad to pacify his own kid.

so their is going to another twist and hope it will be happy one. good to see Radev with their angel...,

And just like ME today, you story is taking a turn--to reveal the mystery---what's going on with Dadaji? He was disturbed? and what is his reason behind this? Sushma knows more than the rest---is this all tied to Sushma's mystery----something you must have eluded along the way?
