"You are married?" he asked again, she just kept quite unable to comprehend with his shocked tone "you are married and still you are flirting shamelessly with me" she was taken aback by his accusation, but he was right, she was a married woman and she was flirting with her boss, she indeed has to be tagged as shameless, how will he understand as he has forgotten that he was her husband. She just remained quite; she has not thought about it, that what she will say if he asked her about this black chain, which she was not able to part with it. Looking at her speech less form he was certain that there is something fishy about the whole situation, he shouted at her "now just get in the car before I think about leaving you here all drenched" she shivered by the tone of his voice and silently followed him.

Once in the Khurana premises he dropped her in front of the outhouse and said angrily with an arrogance "Geet, from now on stay clear of KM, IDK know how close we were all those times but I don't want you to see in the KM until I remember anything, and as per KC is concerned, I will not fire up as you are an efficient worker, but if you ever tried to cross your limits I will not tolerate, and Geet please for god's sake stay away from me, I don't deny that I feel an inclination towards you, but you are married so please spare me" she again was rendered speechless, on one hand she was feeling defeated and hurt and on the other hand she was proud of him for his strong character.

Next day she did not go to the KM for breakfast and asked Nakul to get her some essential so that she can prepare food at he outhouse, she explained everything to Dadi and she understood. Maan missed her at the table but ignored the feeling, though Dadi noticed that he now and then glanced at the seat she used to sit, but the old lady did not utter a word about Geet, Dev wanted to talk to Maan about Nandini, but Maan hushed him saying first he should get a proper divorce from NT, then he will think about his remarriage.

At the KC, Geet came in before him and arranged everything in such a way that he did not need to call her till lunch, she also closed the blinds on her side, Maan was getting restless and he did not want to admit that the restlessness was due to the fact that he had not seen her since morning or even heard her voice, there was nothing missing so there was no need to call her, still by afternoon he could not help it, so he called her, "yes, sir" he was lost in her voice, she could sense his restlessness through his breath, "sir, do you need something" he thought 'I need to see you' but said "yes, Adi was saying that I were working on some 400 crores project I need its drawings and details", she said "ok, sir, I will just call Sasha Madam, as she has the drawings and Adi sir as he has the details" he sighed "ok, ask them to come in the conference room after lunch (he stressed on lunch, as till now it was she who brought his lunch for him) and you also accompany them as there might be some points you should need to take" she said "ok sir, after lunch"

After few minutes Nakul came in with his lunch, he was disappointed but who to complain to, Nakul always brought his lunch in past. He eagerly went to the conference room and was filled with satisfaction on seeing her there. He was surprised by the feeling of content that he felt, she wished him and silently sat down with her pen and writing pad, the discussion started and as she had instructed them earlier she was not asked to get involved in the discussion, she was treated as secretaries are being treated, Maan found it uncomfortable, he did not understand why her POV mattered to him, he checked himself and did not ask her involvement, but soon he was not able to control and asked "Geet, you seem to have no points on this project" she answered with a straight face "sir, you had fired me when this project started so , I don't know anything about it apart from book keeping", he sighed and after some time closed the discussion to carry on later.

In the evening she left after him which was quite usual, but she took her a cab and went to the other direction making sure he noticed, he thought where was she going, later at night he noticed that outhouse lights were off, then at dinner he asked Dadi "Dadi, Geet is not home" Dadi happy to see that he noticed replied carelessly, "yes, she left" he choked "left" she continued "yes, she was saying that from now on she will live where she used to live earlier" he asked "where?" she made a face "at some place as a paying guest" he was restless "which place?" she said in a irritating voice "I never asked her, I did not find any need to know, what happened?" he said "nothing" and with an effort ate his dinner.

Later at night he asked her again "Dadi, she is married?" she pretended to be confused "who?"

"Geet"

"Yes I know"

"Where is her husband?"

"Some where around"

"He does not live with her"

"Not at present"

"He left her"

"Why?"

"He seemed to have forgotten her"

"What, how can some one forget his wife?"

"Some men forget their wives"

"Strange, but where is he at present"

"Why don't you ask Geet, instead of asking me?"

"Yes you are right I will ask her"

"Ok, Good night"

"Good night"
