Contrary to reports, actor Katrina Kaif is not doing an item number in rumoured former beau, actor Salman Khan's forthcoming film where he plays a personal security officer to celebrities. Instead she plays a crucial part in introducing the actor's character to the audience before the film's heroine, actor Kareena Kapoor makes an entry in the film.
"Katrina was clear right from the beginning that she wouldn't do an item song. So there was no question of outdoing Sheila or anything like that. It was Salman who insisted on Katrina as a guest actor in the film and she agreed to that," says a unit member who was a part of the filming process.
This is the first time that Katrina features in a Kareena film. Revealing the storyline of the film, the unit member says that Salman makes an entry when Katrina's manager calls out for her personal security man. A soft-spoken Salman is introduced to Katrina and is asked to work for her.
"The film then takes a turn when Salman starts working as Kareena's personal security man. The film then is the usual Bollywood fare with Salman coming to the heroine's rescue when her life is under threat. The high octane emotional rona-dhona follows as Kareena falls in love with him," says a unit member.
