Abhay! You are such a '.. at times !
Kindly fill in the blanks for me because am still searching the right word to capture Abhay in that one word. I mean, as much as I love Abhay , him being my favourite character and my primary reason to watch this show, I have always admitted that he has this really scary , almost diabolical side to him that kind of makes even his greatest supporters feel unnerved.
Abhay is selfless. Abhay is angelic. Abhay is an ideal lover . Abhay is an ideal son. Abhay is an ideal friend. But , Abhay is DANGEROUS as well. Its almost like there is a vile monster inside him who just waits for Abhay to get angry . The moment temper raises its head inside Abhay , he becomes the meanest villain around and you actually dread what he will do next. I mean, he has hurt even Piya when he was angry and hurt. Remember he almost manhandled her and left her in the vampire caves when he found out that she had belied his faith in her and impersonated Maithli?
Today, except for sending for an ambulance for Danish immediately , Abhay was an out and out villain on the surface. The way he was looking at Dips and Chiraag as though he will just pluck them and have them for dinner with chilly flakes ' the way he called up the Principal and threatened and arm twisted him ' the way he was at his verbal meanest state with Jeh ' it was definitely the Abhay who may look exciting and fun to watch but he gives you the creeps. Abhay actually showed that he can be evil when he has to be. Its unsettling because you realize that even though you've been watching Abhay for so long, you still have no hang of him because there are too many layers to him.
Let's admit it , Abhay has a mean side to him ' a very mean side that surfaces when he is angry or when he is just being 'Abhay Raichand' . His supernatural vampire garb gives him a sense of power that he exercises not because he wants to , because it's a part of his nature as a vampire. And we have noticed this trait in all the Raichands ' SOPHISTICATED CONDESCENDING ARROGANCE.
And do I even need to talk about the precap? Abhay's temper and his animalistic aggression would have killed Chiraag with a cardiac arrest only. The way he is spanking him around like a ping pong ball and forcing him into the boxing rink , you can easily read just how dangerous and precarious Abhay can get once he lets off steam.
As for the episode, my favourite scene has to be the Abhay-Jeh confrontation. Man-to-man. Perfect dialogue exchange . Awesome masculine chemistry . Last time, Jeh had the last word during their argument and this time it was Abhay. We know that Jeh is Abhay's arch-enemy but not knowing that Abhay was pointedly mean to Jeh. But then, Jeh is no less either. He provoked Abhay and somehow , you could read it that Jeh WANTED to pick up a fight with Abhay. APPLAUSE! We need more exchanges between the two men.
Abhay Raichand is a garden of a witch made of black roses, poisoned grasses and wily tulips when he is angry. And there, trespassers are not prosecuted, They are EXECUTED.
P.S- Piya , give yourself a break. Don't tell me you were obsessing over Abhay even while you were supposed to be relaxing with a beauty mask! Make him obsess over you, chica and not the other way round. Samjhi?
