Naani's behavior and judging--NOT applaudable imo

I'm not disagreeing in that the characterization makes sense or believbable. Just that it's not something that should be applauded.

Lavanya's attitude at home could be great, too. It's not that difficult to be a good person in your house.

That being said, I don't think Lavanya's looking for marriage either. From the way she acted on Monday. But that's their prerogative.

And actually, Naani said Arnav wouldn't marry Lavanya even before she met her. She was rude to her on the phone when she called to meet her.

I think Naani was already against Lavanya from the moment she heard Arnav had a girlfriend. And she tells Khushi Arnav will never marry Lavanya even before she met or called Lavanya.

Her characterization came up with her saying SHE will choose brides for Arnav and Akash. She said it before, trying to usurp Akash's own mother on the matter. And she said it in the Maha Episode, and brought of Maami as an example of what happens when she didn't choose the bride.

This is where I think the show creatives are doing a good job showing the conflict, and I don't necessarily think they are showing Naani as the one in the right. Because then came Arnav's reply.

I agree. The characters are not perfect. This is part of Naani's characterization. I am simply making the point that she is in the wrong (and actually somewhat shown to be in the wrong by the show).

I like Naani, but sometimes she seems stereotypical, you can't judge a person by their looks. I'm glad that Arnav respects her values but still follows his own values.

I agree with that! She is a bit wrong in her prejudices about La. At least she should have a look at her Arnav! 😆
