Vallabhdev praises Bheemdev, Shobhna and their balsena for their untiring efforts during the enemy's attack. Bhanuman gets irritated as a courtier adds that without Shobhna and her comrades it would have been impossible to capture the conspirators.
When Dadda Chalukya announces that he would teach a lesson to the conspirators for planning the attack, some detractors in the court allege that since the king's ways of administration were faulty, revolts and uprisings were bound to occur.
Unable to stand the accusations against Dadda Chalukya, Gayatri Devi asks the rebels not to accuse the king without evidence. Indumati and Bhanuman smirk when the detractors assert that Gayatri Devi would never find fault in her the king's ways as she was his wife.
Indumati feigns anger and pretends to rage at the detractors who hurl insults at Dadda Chalukya.
In order to find the truth, Dadda Chalukya decides to meet the mahapanchayat and learn about their views regarding his rule. He adds that if he finds that the subjects were unhappy with his rule, he would abdicate the throne.
Bhanuman decides to make changes in his game plan as he believes that if Dadda Chalukya connects with the subjects; his plan to get the subjects against the king would get foiled.
Kirit Chalukya learns from a minister from the accusations from a certain section of the court. On hearing that Dadda Chalukya has decided to go to the mahapanchayat to find a solution, Kirit Chalukya believes that his younger brother was falling in the trap of his conspirators.
Suryoday informs Bhanumaan that few of their men would be implanted in the gathering of subjects that Dadda Chalukya would address. Bhanuman rejoices thinking that Dadda Chalukya had invited trouble for himself.
Dadda Chalukya and Gayatri Devi address the mahapanchayat. The subjects hail Dadda Chalukya for being a just and generous ruler. Seeing the positive response of the subjects, the men planted by Suryoday decide to back off.
However, carried away by emotions and insulted at the harsh statement made by a few detractors in his court, Dadda Chalukya proclaims that he was renouncing the throne.
Everyone is left aghast.
