last two lines i was talking in general from the girls i have seen 🤢 as bavdfan said i too hate such girls and boys who always flirt, laugh out loud , waste all their time and cry during exams 🤢
i like those who silently flirt and pass out with flying colors 😉😆

i have a friend, she is bed ridden. her husband is dead. she has only one daughter, who goes to university. she is 22, and is the only care taker of her mom. she is on the cell from her school, all the time, keeping in touch with her mom and her servant...that is why i said, we cannot judge the needs of others...every individual has a different requirement...
i agree with every one that cell phones at work places and educational institutions should be very carefully used...

I glue to my mobile too, but, its not professional at work. At least u should have it on vibration! Or a PA who takes it while u r busy with shooting. Impressive, Vikrant a perfectionist. Love this kind of ppl.

That sort of case is an exception, and the important reason cellphones are needed. Like I said, they're needed for emergencies, and what you're describing above is definitely one. Having said that, I do think that if she has to in the middle of a lecture call her mom, it's a tad unprofessional, unless her mom is experiencing a real emergency, in which case, a doctor should be called.
Yeah, we have no idea whether Juhi is in a similar situation, although I think that if she were, she'd have held her own and explained her predicament to Vik. But I've seen people on the bus, or in cars while driving having the most mundane of conversations w/ their spouses, like hon, what's for dinner?
Usually, these are needed for things like reminders, like hon, don't forget to drop Nikkie for swimming, or don't forget to include the butter in the groceries. Not the 'mom's asking me why are you so late, or Shiela-di has called us for her son's b'day'. The conversation should be a few seconds at the most - particularly when one's driving. And it doesn't make a big diff whether it's hands free or not - a conversation is distracting enough if someone is driving and trying to focus on traffic.
I typically tell people that i'll return their calls if I'm in the middle of something, or to call me back after ___. Works a lot better that way!

i totally agree with you. i was merely commenting on cell phone being a 'flirting device.'

regarding my friend's daughter, i don't know whether or not she uses it during the middle of her lectures, but i am pretty sure, she cannot have a phone conversation because no teacher allows phone talk during a class room lecture...
but yeah, texting is common by all high school and university students even when the class is going on...
the rise of technology has its pros and cons...it has its uses and abuses too...

regarding juhi and vikrant's reported story, there is absolutely no second opinion about the fact that it is extremely frustrating to have the cell ringing in the middle of a shoot...i was kind of taken by surprise that vikrant is so particular...normally people in that part of the world are indifferent to such situations; that includes our actors too...

This is so true even in office everyone is always on their smart phones including my boss. He has been on my case to upgrade my phone and I just ignore him. Nowadays I see people with their head bent down constantly playing or meddling with their phones. It's like a disease or something. No one makes eye contact or talk to people anymore, they just sms, tweet or say check out my FB status. It's ridiculous.
I am on VM side, I find it throughly irritating when you are doing work and the other person in more interested with his or her phone.

I find gaming on phones something useful if one is otherwise idling, like waiting in a doctor's waiting room, or waiting for one's meal in a restaurant if one's by oneself, or sitting in the waiting room of the mechanic while the car is getting its transmission redone. That's where one doesn't have anything else to do, and kills those few minutes, or hours, w/ the toy.
But other than that, getting lost in it while @ work, or @ home, just doesn't make much sense. And sms is pretty irritating & difficult - I have no problems typing all this on a regular QWERTY keyboard, and can spit out a perfectly legible post in seconds. On my phone, having to respond to sms questions that need more than just, say, an yes/no answer is just painful.
But all these activities is even less annoying than actual phone conversations that interrupt something important going on.

OMG! What a coincidence. Only the other day I had ranted at my older brother regarding his mobile phone!
Dude went through a phase at one point when he was constantly playing on his phone, even while we were trying to have a serious discussion with him about important issues.
Now, I don't normally go off on one with my older brother, but I got so pissed off at him that particular day that I just had to give him a piece of my mind.
My biggest bug bear when it comes to mobiles, is when people on trains, planes and buses think it's ok to subject my ears to their utterly inane and mind-numbingly mundane conversations at decibels higher than the surround sound in a cinema! That is not on! Bugger off home and have that convo 😡. Scream and shout as much as you want down a phone line within the four walls of your house, but don't do it while you're sitting next to me on a damn (often crowded) bus! 😡
And people talking on their phones while driving are just asking for trouble, I'm sorry. And I agree Vrish, hands-free kits make no difference at all. They still require you to divert attention away from the road and focus on the conversation at hand.
I have one devar who answers his phone in almost all places, including the little boys room! And I have another who refuses to answer it unless he is stationery somewhere and isn't causing a disturbance to others. He flat out refuses to answer while he's driving!
People keep asking my what apps I have on my smartphone and why I haven't downloaded this one or that one. But to be honest, I only use my phones for very important calls if I'm outside. I never have just 'chats' with people if I'm out and about - that can wait till I get home and am sitting down and relaxed. So I don't see the need to have a phone with a whole lot of features. The only reason I upgraded to a smartphone recently is because sometimes when my hubby uses the laptop in the evening for work, I can use my phone to check emails, or just browse the net if I'm bored or there's nothing decent to watch on TV. I don't always reply to emails or posts via phone either, because I find it such an effort. I wait till I can just go online on the laptop,
Phones have become such a big part of people's lives that I'm convinced future generations will be born with one attached to their ears!
There was a time when we functioned perfectly wll in our day to day lives without a mobile phone, and I sometimes wish we could go back there. I much prefer recieving a letter from someone than an SMS or email. I was defo borin in the wrong era!
