Yeah, I think CID is getting low TRP's because of uninteresting stories. The only thing that keeps loyal viewers to the screen is the trio. However, nowadays, not even that compensates from the dull, monotone cases.

The directors, storywriters seem too either be amateurs using CID as a means to get their next consignment in some soap serial which are more lucrative nowadays or don't seem to grasp the very essence of so great a show. More than us, they need to watch the old cases in sequence to show them how its done. So basically, and unfortunately, CID banks on its loyal viewers to get its TRP's...BP Singh should understand that better cases + logical thinking = great stories = high TRP's. They shouldn't be giving the lame excuse of 'oh..after 13 years its hard to find stories'...then why did you enter the industry? It's your job to keep audience interested! Also, BP Singh should look at the competition in the form of Adaalat. It shows how they use a very basic concept(murder) but add so many twists and turns to it to keep the audience guessing and on the edge

Sometimes, I feel even the actors are bored. There isn't that shine that there once was on their faces. Yet, their mere presence is what makes every present case special!

Anyways, I don't see how you can compare SRGMP with CID. Enjoyable as it maybe, SRGMP is a singing reality show while CID is a criminal investigation show...care to explain the comparison?😕

hi...welcome dear...hope u enjoy...and now coming to the topic...there are mainly some reasons according to me:

~ Bad story's,narration and in some episodes even the direction ruines the show.
~ Our fav actors are not given enough space.
~ Our fav actors are leaving the show due to the same problem...we r hurt by this...
~ They are showing disasters nowadays...the detection nowadays is not satisfying...the criminal is also easy to guess at the beginning of some episodes...

Yeah u people r rite.
nowadays the storys of CID are quite boring coz of
-useless and boring storys
-poor direction sometimes
-neglection of senior actors like ABHIJEET AND DAYA
-easy to guess criminals...for eg:in the recent case Maut Ke Kagaar Par CID...the criminals wer very easy to guess
-overacting by some members...for eg:The unnecessary scream and cry of Kajal wen she an Abhijeet wer tied up...in Maut Ke Kagaar Par CID..

reasons that are spoiling trps are-
-cheap storyline
-missing duo moments
-introductions of officers who cant act
-more and more flirting between abhi and tarika
and many more...

Sachin should get promoted immediately without any late. He is a deserving candidate for Senior Inspector designations.

Hi! New here.

I am an ardent fan of CID. But I think reasons for low trps are:

- CID re-runs being shown every day!

Earlier Sony guys kept showing CID episodes one after the other other for the WHOLE day! Though they don't show CID as frequently now, but still we do see CID episodes in afternoon and evening daily. Even on weekends, they keep showing old CID episodes for whole afternoon! So people assume that they'll get to see the episode since CID is repeated umpteen times!

I think Sony should show CID episodes only on Friday and Saturday, the original time slots and repeat only the weekend's episode once in the coming week.

Why show old episodes so frequently for hours at a stretch when the show is still running? Let them wait for the next weekend to see their favorite characters.

- We don't get to see enough of senior actors - original CID team

Since the last few months, I have noticed that they don't show the entire core CID team together. For the first half an hour we see Abhijit, for 5 mins in between we get a glimpse of ACP and for the last 30 mins we see Daya! Freddie and Vivek or Kajal are shown tagging along. A customary nok-jhok between Salunkhe and ACP is also mixed in it.

It has become monotonous! I don't know what the reasons are, but actors look like they're going through the motions. We want to see the core team together! ACP, Abhijeet and Daya together!

Not separately for 5-10 mins allocated to each!😲

- Same old stories

I agree stories are not as good as they used to be. I feel they should investigate other crimes too, instead of just murder. White collar crimes, scams, frauds etc., robbery, rape - I mean there are thousands of different types of crimes! But CID shows only khoon!

I also think they should stop showing repetitive things like those stories of criminals posing as aatma or bhoot or someone having superstitious magical hallucinations!

We want more suspense, more logical stuff and not just entertainment. We as viewers, want them to compel us into exercising our own minds and trying to guess what would happen!

We've also had enough of CID guys having misunderstanding with each other or turning into criminals themselves! [Like they showed Daya being a criminal, but then revealed that it was not Daya but someone who had plastic surgery to look like him!]

I also think they either overdo the stunts or action when they get into the Dhoom mode, or they very easily get all clues by merely doing a search on the internet through ''Koogle''!😉

There should be a balance. Neither all maar-dhaad, nor all solutions through computer and gadgets!

- Compromising on seriousness to make it entertaining

I think there should be certain seriousness in CID. It's laughable how someone like Freddie can be a CID officer! Little lightness is okay, but nowadays it's getting a bit too unrealistic to digest.

Freddie behaving like Shaggy of Scooby Doo is too cartoonish and unrealistic, almost an insult to CID! They could show him as nervous or easily prone to worry, but showing like a bheegi billi in every episode makes a mockery of CID.

There was one episode in which they had hinted at love between Vivek and Tasha and Vivek telling her he'd get her icecream. Or Abhijeet constantly flirting with Tarika.

You want viewers to believe that solving cases is all fun and games? That these officers flirt and squabble with equal ease while looking for clues at their headquarters?

I feel a little bit of light hearted stuff shown occasionally is okay. But they should not overdo it or make it a routine to have Abhijeet flirt with Tarika in every episode or Salunkhe and ACP pull each other's leg every time they gather over a dead body in the forensic lab!

I think it would be better if overdose of comical elements is reduced.

Other reasons:

Pathetic background music...very irritating! They should either change it or get rid of any background music altogether. Older episodes of CID are much better in this respect.

New faces being brought in all the time! - We had grown used to Vivek...but why was Vivek replaced? Also, frankly speaking the new boy is so-so and, he doesn't seem like a CID officer. Looks more like a 12 std passout. Even if they have to bring in new faces, then at least bring in genuinely talented ones like the guy who plays Sachin!

I feel they should upgrade and maintain the high standards of CID. Just hope viewers don't get fatigued and fed up of CID! :(

Nevertheless, CID is my favourite show and me and my brother are crazy about it since childhood!😃
