NUPUR AND MAYANK
the bubbly nupur is exactly how chirpy rati is and the serious mayank is just like the sincere arjun.looking at them you just feel that these two characters were made for them.they have been ruling the television screen since two years and have garnered the fan following that can make actors go green with envy.for the first time ever, they talk about everything their chracters,their chemistry,their alleged affair...
Firstly what was your reaction to this sudden twist?
ARJUN:i was really surprised but we all knew that there will be a shocking twist as the story needed a change
RATI:i am very relaxed and chilled out. i have given three to four interviews and everywhere i have said that ia am happy with the decision.they have done it right with the characters and given a safe exit. this is the biggest turning point in my carrer,its difficult to forget nupurs character as i have been playing it since two years.people connect to nupur and one nupur stands everywhere who fights for her rights,etc.it was my decision too as the show needed a dreastic change for the story line to move further. i dont regret it instead i am happy that i will have something new to do.
Arent you skeptical that with nupurs death your story line might get stagnant?
ARJUN:i look it from a actors point of view and whether somebody is there or not, i know that the creative team will have something interesting forme. they would do justice to my scenes. though i enjoyed working with rati and would certainly miss it.
Mayank and nupurs nok-jhok has been loved by all so now that it will be missing,dont you think that it mught affect your fan following?
ARJUN:well, even i loved our love-hate relationship and it was adored all the more because it was realistic. in real life too,couples have ups and downs and we potrayed it fell.as far as fan following goes,i dont think my fans like me for somone else.we do have fans who like us as a couple and they will be upset with this twist but at the same time i have my loyal fans.
RATI:we both have our individual fans who love us and be there for us whether or not we are in the sow.i trust my fans and dont think they like us only because of our chemistry and even if they it misses they will cherish it and remember us.(smiles)
Tell us about the new mayank?
ARJUN:he is obviously very upset as he has lost his wife nupur whom he dearly loved.its difficult to see life without her and is all the more quiet and serious now.but faith brings him back to excel college and from then on starts new phase in his life.
What will mjht be without nupur?
ARJUN:she has been a part of mjht since past two years and we all commenced our journey on mjht together.the entire story revovled around the four of us and as she was my co-star.i have done a lot of scenes with her since beginning so i dont know how to deal with it.but we have to see ahead though its difficult to shoot with one of us missing
