Anushka: The latest envy of Bollywood babes

Anushka Sharma might prefer to maintain a low profile but her body of work is not letting her do that. And this is not going well with her contemporaries, including some of her senior colleagues in town. The buzz is that Anushka's growing popularity has become a matter of concern for a few Bollywood babes.


Anushka, on her part attributes her current phase to hard work and good luck. Talking about her success story so far, the actress says, "I have been fortunate to be part of films that gets the audiences' approval. Moreover the fact that I get to work with the top stars in Bollywood has always helped my films in a big way and thus my career so far. I only believe in giving my best and rest is just falling in place."

Though Anushka makes no efforts to impress her competitors but she ends up doing it eventually. With her raising stocks and the raising envy levels among her contemporaries, let's hope Anushka has many more successes to claim.

2nd lead in YRF film..and a role in V Bhardwaj(who like Gowarikar,Mani Ratnam made actors look like fools in their last flops..and he unlike others has NEVER had a hit)..Poor PC😔

She got lucky with BBB...But till she bags a coveted role which the top actresses would want to fight over..she doesn't matter to any of them..

I think she is doing a great job so far. Considering that she came in 2008.
Started off with a bang with Rab Ne Bana De Jodi with Shah. Then came Badmaash Company with Shahid. After that was the movie that got her so much praise, Band Baaja Baaraat with Ranveer. And then there was Patiala House with Akshay. And now she has Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl and Vishal Bhadwarj's film opposite Ajay.
That's pretty darn good, in my opinion.

Yes Anushka should only be in that movie. Any stalkers in movie industry reading this Anushka SRK make a good pair. And yes she has to branch out eventually. Also, she should be in Aayans Next are you reading this Aayan M. She was good in Pitala house with Akshay it was a very nice movie. I think BBB success just overshadowed it. 😊

The Vishal Bhadwarj film sounds interesting. Anushka is really young and has a lot of time on her side. She needs to sign more films and get the exposure which is required of a heroine to maintain her stardom. I think it was a bad move of her to sign a supporting role playing second fiddle to Katrina Kaif. Anuskha should have gotten the lead role!!! 😕

Yeah, Patiala House was hardly noticed but i am glad she did it...the more movies i started seeing her in the more she proved to me that she can ACT. I think she has that going for her...the fact that she can act. We don't have many that can these days.
I never said Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl would be a hit. Lol. I could care less if a movie is hit or not...i decide if i like her work or not through what i see not if a movie was hit or not. But i do hope that Lv/sRB is a hit and gets noticed. Ranveer and Anushka need it...the more the better.
&& You're right...she is young but i don't know about having a lot of time on her side. I forgot about the Yash raj's next. That's 3 movies coming up from her. I think that's pretty darn good. I rather her be selective than do whatever comes her way...its better that way. And see...i never understood the whole "playing a fiddle to Katrina" thing. Just because its a supporting role doesn't mean its not good or the actress shouldn't have done it. A role is a role to me. As long as it good i don't care if she is in the movie for 10 mins. A good role is a good role...even if its a supporting one. It would have been fab if she had got the lead but its okay that she is playing the supporting as well. Like i said...as long as its good. I hope it is.

She is a juhi chawla/Priety Zinta in the making.Good actress but will never appeal to masses hugely like a Mads or Kareena.Keep playing bubbly chirpy roles.If she has to prove herself will have to experiment and get out of her comfort zone.A 2nd lead in YRF movie doesnt sound so exciting..

Many out there are saying Ranveer-Anu friendship is similar to srk-juhi..Hope Anushka doesnt follow the route of Juhi(who fought with Aamir,her most popular costar) and support Ranveer more than necessarily by signing more & more more movies with him

I do also think that she needs to experiment more with the roles she plays...get out of her bubbly comfort zone. And im sure she will...and she can totally do it well and pull it off! The girl can act. Looking forward to all her movies.

uhm..if we go back to YRF it's the supporting actress who stole the thunder..Karishma Kapoor in Dil to pagal hai and Rani in Veer Zaara. Lol i doubt Katrina will steal anushka's thunder in YRF flick. Katrina might be more worried about her makeup and wardrobe. Katrina will be there for the glamour part and anushka for some good acting. I believe Anushka has done pretty well so far, has worked with well known actors, in each movie she has been improving and she was very good in Patiala House. She's been getting good director and she isn't dying to do useless movies either.
