Another anti-corruption supporter
Actor Indra Krishnan from a business women turns to an anti-corruption supporter
Just like all the politicians, babas and social activists have woken up to anti-corruption issues, actor Indira Krishnan better known as Krishnaben is too fighting against corruption in her show Krishnaben Khakhrawala that airs on Sony channel. But this anti-corruption campaign will be a different one as she will be dealing with it in her own Krishnagiri style just like we had Gandhigiri style in the film Lage Raho Munna Bhai.
Food Inspector, Mishra comes to Krishnaben's shop and falsely accuses her of running her business without a clearance certificate from the food department. Her eldest son Ilesh checks the documents and clarifies that the documents are complete and there is no need to worry. But a corrupt Mishraji asks for a bribe of Rs.30,000 or else he will put a halt to her business. Later Krishnaben gets into her Krishnagiri mode by giving him artificial gold bangles and pleading to rescue her from any legal action. In this way Krishnaben gives Mishra a taste of his own medicine.
We quiz the actress that if in real life she had to bribe someone, what would she do, Indira says, " Personally, I am completely against corruption. I have come across incidents in real life where I had to bribe officers during house loans and other loans as I didn't have certain necessary papers, but I didn't give a penny. Also during my father's death, the officer told me that if I gave him money he would give the death certificate early and I wouldn't have to wait for a month." She adds, "Corruption happens only in government offices. I have had fall outs with people due to this."
