I haven't watched today's episode apart from the ShaNak scene and 1 second of the awful pre-cap

But loved what you said!

Also, with Shaan and Simran apart from the whole non-subtle approach what does not settle well is the fact that when the truth comes out a girl like Simran is going to be exposed to much heartbreak.

Loved the 'taal-mel' point espoused by Khanak, as key to a successful relationship, not the abstract 'love'. Very Khanak-like.

Yumna has made a very good observation. When the truth comes out, Simran is going to be extremely hurt, and Shaan and Khanak would be the cause. May be this is the way to make them realise how wrong they were to even to venture into this territory. Such a massive lie is going to have consequences. And the worst thing that can happen to a normal, good-hearted person is to see someone get hurt by their actions.

Shaan and Khanak have morally erred by telling a lie about their marital status. That was not needed. To be honest even when crisis occurs is the real test. And they succumbed to pressure. Or Shaan did and Khanak went along with him, rather than be the moral inner voice. Simran's broken heart will be the punishment for Shaan and Khanak, not Gangubhai's taunt whenever she comes to know the truth.

Shaan teaching Simran guitar, and thereby coming physically close etc are just there fr visual effect or whatever... if they showed Adi doing that to Khanak, the audience would be unforgiving. In Indian TV and film, the married heroine is sati savitri, not to be touched by anyone other than her husband. So the CVs have no choice but to play with Shaan's character.

Sorry if I am repeating myself. But the only reason why Shaan and Khanak have told this lie, is so that other characters can be shown to be close to them. This too shall pass.
