On another note, I really am confused with Arnav's personal agenda with her. He's doing three simple things:
- Making her stronger to fight the world, because when he had to lose his innocence, nobody was there to help him or show him how to fight the world. He's making her strong by throwing these crazy challenges at her.
- On one hand, he hates her but at the same time he cares for. Before he let her fall, but today he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him.
- He is slowly letting go off her innocence, because he knows in this cold world, her innocence can easily be manipulated, and could land her in greater trouble so he's slowly getting rid of it, so that she does not become another Arnav in the long run.😊
Sanaya Irani, is a brilliant actor! I don't know about others, but playing shy and reclusive Gunjan to all of a sudden, a character that has so many shades, so many different characters wrapped in one ball and to do it so naturally, it takes a lot. Not over the top, not loud. Just amazing and love this girl. From girl with the spunk Sameera, to stylish Sanaya, to adorable Gunjan and to the I am scared, but I'll still do it Khushi, Sanaya Irani is AMAZING!
Replying in parts ... I tend to ramble on 😆
As for the second part of your post, I think Arnav's character is deeper and more layered than Khushi's, and the layers will peel off only slowly. As to why he's behaving this way with Khushi, I think all your reasons are correct but they will happen turn by turn ... as in, right now he's just doing this to prove a point, to prove his own claim, that nobody defeats ASR ... he's hopping mad that a chit of a girl, a nobody according to him, could even dare to look him in the face let alone challenge him and everything he believes in ...
then will come the time when his feelings are more involved, he sees in her the kind of person he once was, who believed in the goodness of the world, who believed that good over evil and all that, and for him all that didn't work ... so he wants to prove to her that he's right, he was right to kill that old Arnav who was like Khushi once upon a time ... and that she should stop believing in all that aslo, because she will only get hurt in her turn, the way he did ... a kind of protective instinct, that I will make her see the real world, but I will be the one to do it, so that nobody else gets a chance to really hurt her ... something like the way he already doesn't let La attack her ...
and then finally when he actually falls for her ... hmm, I really wonder how he will behave then ... now that one I'm waiting for ... esp if he's fighting his feelings at the time ...
And oh yes, Sanaya is brilliant ... I loved her as Gunjan, had never seen her before, and the way she played that very stereotyped cliched character and lifted her way beyond the ordinary was just amazing! Especially as she is completely different from both Gunjan and Khushi ... she impresses me more and more every day.
