You are absolutely right that these serials and the characters within them are fictitious and one must take them with a pinch of salt. Easier said, but yes watching an egoistical man throwing his weight around for every possible reason/thing in life, can be total nonsense. Yet this nonsense is highlighted and to a great degree even applauded. It's also easy to say don't watch this crap. Well, one wouldn't know what crap to avoid until one watches it. After watching ctrap after crap, the conclusion is that a majority of Ekta's sopas are crap and should be shunned by any sensible person.
