Kesar comes in the temple and he and Gulaal have an eyelock, Talli looks at both. Gulaal walks away but Kesar blocks her way. Kesar asks her why she is doing this, she knows how much he cares about her. Talli doesn't like hearing this. Gulaal says that she doesn't and never will have such feelings in her mind. He doesn't let her leave and says fine, but at least she should come home. She tells him not to waste his time, it will never happen. Kesar feels hurt. Cruella asks lizard (chipkali) Talli to come and leaves. Kesar looks at Gulaal, Talli glances his way while leaving. Raman comes there and sees this, and thinks that he will have to do something.
Talli is so annoying. She is always sneaking around listening to conversations and observing people's reactions. She is like a lizard on the wall, she gets stuck there and will stay there listening to everything, yet not using her brains and leaving. You know how lizards are - they get stuck on walls and will not leave even if you shoo them away.
At night Kesar is writing in his room. Raman comes there and tells him that it is a woman's job to plead in the temple, not men's, he didn't like the behavior in the temple. He knows that Gulaal is so stubborn that Kesar has to do something to get her back, she refused to listen even to the panchayat, she will not return just like that, there is just one way to get her back, Kesar should complain to the panchayat about Gulaal. Kesar hesitates, Raman convinces him saying that by staying apart Gulaal will go further way from him, so he should get her back immediately. Obviously Raman strikes a chord since Kesar is worried about losing Gulaal. Raman tells him that to win her heart it is important to keep her within his eyesight. Raman is one to give advice - his married life is in shambles and here he is. Kesar is very gullible, he has always been that way since childhood, reacting to what others say to him. Its an innocent quality but has always gotten him into trouble, and his older brothers (Dushyant and Raman, both) have done more harm than he realizes. Raman tells him that he doesn't think there is any other way to bring Gulaal home, the rest is up to Kesar.
Kesar goes to see Dushyant and tells him firmly that he has come to complain about his wife who is not returning home, and is insulting his and the panchayat's decision, so he needs the panchayat's help in bringing her back. Dushyant is shocked and angry, and asks if he is serious about doing this against Gulaal the great, Kesar says he has no other choice. Dushyant tries to explain that this is no way by forcing her, Kesar says that he cannot live with her, and in any case Dushyant himself made the decision that Gulaal needs to live with him as his wife, but that is not happening so they need to do justice. Dushyant says that the panchayat's decision is fine, but this is their personal matter and he knows why Gulaal is not returning. Kesar says the only thing he knows is that he cannot live without Gulaal, and he is asking the head for help, not a family member, and he expects the same level of justice as an ordinary man. Dushyant persists but Kesar asks what is wrong, is he doing anything illegal.
Reva asks Gulaal to come outside, the panchayat's men have come to meet her since she refused their decision. Gulaal is shocked hearing that Kesar complained against her. Someone went against the greatest saint Gulaal, I will give Kesar one big point for that alone - Gulaal needs a big dose of reality.
Paan Baa is shocked when Raman tells Paan Baa about Kesar's complaint and that their food and water has been stopped because of Gulaal. Paan Baa expresses anger at Kesar's not asking them before taking this big step. Now Paan Baa is waking up. What about when Gulaal made all these decisions without involving them, did they say anything? What about when Gulaal went to the panchayat? Jamna supports Kesar and says he had no choice, nobody is supporting him in his family, where would he go. This had to happen, had Paan Baa not let Gulaal leave this day would not have come. Paan baa says that they cannot run to the panchayat for every little thing, what to do now. Jamna says what else, bring Gulaal home. Paan Baa says that Mota Bha will never insist, he should not hear of this else he will get mad at Kesar. Sudha overhears this and says that Kesar is given free rein like this, Jamna indicates to Raman to take care of Sudha. Sudha continues that Kesar does whatever he wants, how much will Paan Baa hide his faults, its too much now, if they don't do something now it will be too late. Sudha looks wicked and has venom spewing from her veins. I have never loathed this woman more. Every single woman on this show except Jamna is horrible - I don't like any of them anymore.
Panchayat is at Gulaal's place. Gulaal's father, Revji Bhai, says that Kesar should not have done this, he himself wanted Gulaal to go back but not in this manner by forcing her. Why didn't Revji have any brains when his own daughter went to the panchayat first? The one-sidedness of this show bothers me to no extent. Poonam says what else would Kesar do, he pleaded so much with Gulaal, and tells Gulaal that her stubbornness has brought a big price for them to pay. Gulaal still refuses to return and says that if she returns, then... I have no idea what she was going to say. Poonam says then what, after marriage a girl's house is her in-laws place, her behavior has put two families in trouble, that is her husband's house and she has to live there forever, for how long will she remain in her parent's place. The panchayat asks her to return, Poonam says fine Gulaal will go, Gulaal says she hasn't agreed to go, Poonam says enough is enough, Gulaal has done enough of her will, she has to return, because of her they have become a laughing stock in the village.
Revji Bhai yells stop, and says that this is because of Kesar, not Gulaal, if Gulaal doesn't want to return fine, panchayat doesn't need to get involved, nobody will force Gulaal to go back, if Gulaal doesn't believe in that relationship so be it, what is the panchayat going to do, they can turn off their food and water, they are willing to leave the village as well, but he will never force Gulaal to return. Gulaal feels bad hearing this. Poonam is shocked and worried. Revji tells the men to communicate his decision to the panchayat. He tells Gulaal that she doesn't need to worry or fear anyone, this is her house too, now she will live here. For a moment I thought that Revji is playing with Gulaal's mind, by letting her make the decision she will stop resisting and return, but the following scenes show otherwise.
Kesar returns home. Revji comes there and yells his name. He tells Kesar angrily what did he think, that he will compel Gulaal and nobody will speak from her side, he will complain to the panchayat and she will listen to everything. Kesar looks shocked and says that all he wants is that Gulaal should return home. Revji tells him that he too wants that, but that doesn't mean that he will forget what Gulaal wants, why is everyone compelling Gulaal. Paan Baa says that is not the case, Kesar should not have gone to the panchayat but let bygones be bygones, this is their personal matter, they need to resolve this peacefully. Why doesn't someone tell Revji that his own beloved daughter started this charade in front of the panchayat? Revji tells her that she should have taught her son peace first. Pot calling the kettle black - Revji needs to teach his daughter first. Paan Baa tries to pacify Revji. He is still angry though, and tells Kesar that he thought Kesar cares about Gulaal and wants her back, but he only cares about himself, everyone is thinking about themselves, but he wants to make it clear that if Gulaal doesn't want this relationship nobody can force her.
Jamna the lifesaver comes there and tells him that he can keep his daughter in his house for the rest of her life. They should be grateful that Kesar is willing to accept Gulaal knowing that she is his older brother's widow and older than him, instead of being grateful she is showing attitude, women are desperate for their husband's love (the camera pans to Sudha briefly behind Jamna here), and whatever is happening today is Gulaal's fault. Paan baa tries to pacify Jamna, Kesar leaves upset. Jamna asks Revji if Gulaal's behavior suits her, what was the need for her to leave and that also after hearing the panchayat's decision, they didn't go to the panchayat, Gulaal herself went there and then refused to obey their decision, today when Kesar went to the panchayat they are feeling bad. Gulaal's leaving the house had to prolong the situation so it did. Revjis says that now he too will see who will bring his daughter back by force, he declares loudly that Gulaal will never return to the house come what may. Kesar is shocked and upset hearing this. Jamna said exactly what I have been saying and thinking. Now I know where Gulaal gets it from - her father too is stubborn and didn't once look at Gulaal's faults.
Precap: Kesar is pondering, Sudha tells him that Gulaal will never come back, Kesar should have realized this by now. Kesar responds with full confidence and determination that she will definitely come, but his eyes still betray some doubt. I can't watch this show anymore with so much intensity. Its so frustrating to see this, and I don't even like Gulaal or any of the other woman. Mota Bha has pulled a Gulaal and disappeared. I feel so bad for Kesar, not a single person is taking his side except Jamna.
