Star ready to Jet Set Go!

Reality show lovers have a bonanza coming their way. Optimystix Productions is ready with a travel reality show titled Jet Set Go, complete with a load of TV stars starrring in it, scheduled to go on air on either Star Plus or Star One shortly. The channel will be decided within a week.
Our sources have just confirmed that Jet Set Go will be aired on Star One(Updated on 30 January at 12:00 pm)

Tassnim Sheikh, Gurdeep Kohli, Ashka Goradia and Kiran Dubey are the four field anchors for the show, while Raju Srivastav, the runner up Laughter Challenge champ, has been pencilled in to be the show's studio anchor. Says Optimystix's Vipul D Shah, "The show will be a reality cum game show of sorts, with competition between the four anchors, with travel as its main theme.

"It is going to be a race against time. The anchors will have to convince the contestants to reach a certain destination or go on a holiday (Bangkok, for instance) in two hours flat and will be given 1000 dollars which is also their prize money. The tickets will be booked in advance, as we will have tie-ups

with the airports so the contestant will only have to pick up their passport from home and head for the airport. The challenge will be for the four anchors to convince people as soon as possible and whoever manages to do so first, ends up being the winner (the first to reach the airport for the free holiday gets to be the winner). So the viewers also end up rooting and praying for their favourite anchor. The contestants will have to ready themselves for the same (ready their passport, convince the family, pack up their stuff, catch a flight) in the designated time period,"says Sanjiv Sharma, creative head, Optimystix. The production house isn' t new to the reality genre, having already co-produced Sony's Indian Idol. The house has also done Ye Meri Life Hai recently for Sony.

The anchors were chosen after countless rounds of auditions and pilots were shot with a host of TV stars and it was on the basis of their communication skills and their ability to be spontaneous and think on their feet that they were pinned down upon.

"The show is a combination of ability and intention against personal commitments.This was Star's homegrown format and Optimystix did the internal brainstorming and developed. We are taking reality to the next level in the real sense of the term and truly this show is a world class format. The show has to look good so we are working on the look and we have shot the pilots already," says Shah.

The show is expected to go on air by the last week of February.

Time to 'Jet Set Go' with Star One

Star one is ready to 'Jet Set Go'. That's the name of its newest reality game show launching next month. The show starts on March 10, 2006 and has an exciting and unique format. The show is anchored by 4 field hosts at separate locations within Mumbai city, who try and persuade people from the general public to take an all-expenses paid vacation.

The catch being that the flight takes off that very day, within the next 4 hours AND there is only one ticket. These four hosts are Kiran Dubey, Tasneem Shaikh, Aashka Goradia and Gurdip Kohli. There is also a studio anchor, the star of the 'Great Indian Laughter Challenge', Raju Shrivastav.

It will be quite a challenge to convince people to take this trip all by themselves and agree to leave in the next 4 hours. And once the individual agrees, that's when the race begins. The show follows the participants to their respective homes. They take permission to go from parents/spouses/bosses etc. They are shown packing their bags, collecting passports and make it to the airport first before any of the other 3 hosts.

The studio anchor, Raju Shrivastav traces the progress of each of the four field anchors and is the sutradhar for the viewers as the drama between the four competing anchors unfolds. The studio anchor also provides comic relief with his witty narration while the 4 field hosts are sweating it out.

Tassnim Sheikh has got herself a Hindu name post marriage with the help of

Tanishaa and Sameer Nerurkar:All for love!

numerologist friend Sanjay B Jumaani. The actor had a registered marriage on 19 April and has decided to change her name to Tanishaa Nerurkar.
"Yes, Tassnim has changed her name to Tanishaa and I made the changes according to her date of birth and since she's got married to a Hindu she wanted a Hindu name. I keep speaking to her often and she decided to change the name before her marriage. I had also suggested a few names to her, matching with surnames Sheikh and Nerurkar," says Jumaani

I have always been a Hindu , as my mother is a Hindu and my grandparents with whom I have lived are Gujrati Hindus so there is no conversion here," smiles Tassnim aka Tanishaa who has resumed work as Mohini in Kyunki...

So when is the honeymoon due , we ask? "Honeymoon will happen after two months, by the end of June as we have our work commitments. Sameer is back on the ship and I have already started shooting!" sighs the actor.
