speaking of education at hogwarts, i got a couple of questions.
1. how come they don't study biology? why do they not try to figure out HOW they are magical? what is it in their blood or their DNA that makes them have these special powers? why are they different from muggles?
2. why don't they question their magic or push magical boundaries? they learn about existing potions and spells. but what about experimentation? what about making up new spells and using what they already know to come up with something better. the weasley twins and voldemort did it. granted that voldemort experimented with magic for the worse, but why isn't experimentation used for the good? no one at hogwarts teaches any of this sort. why? the weasley twins and voldemort sorta did it on their own. no one taught them.
yeah it will most peobably be like tht, bt its a good question!well basic math like addition, subtraction and etc are pretty elementary. and the kids don't enter hogwarts until they are 11. i don't think the kids are completely unaware of basic math until they are 11. i can't imagine them just sitting at home and playing till they are 11. i mean that is a long time. i would believe that hogwarts expects the children's parents to have taught their kids basic math and other other stuff. i think the wizard parents are responsible for teaching them all these basic stuff.
