My def of performance for a singer is thier singing only..........i don't care if they sing with thier eyes closed or open, for me the only time they connect with me is when thier voice touches my soul not when they are jumping around..............I really wish Ms Farah could see beyond her dance moves 😡 😡 😡 and really start commenting on sur and taal........A true singer does not have to be a great dancer......cozz dancing is certianly not thier profession........On personal note......Meenal connceted with me and I am sure with many others while she sang in II......in fact her lambi judaai song almost gave me goosbumps......but farah still crticized her 😡 😡 😡 ........Anywayzz that's just my opinion....

IMO, if a singer can bring out the right feel and emotions in the song thro' right expressions, he connectes with the listener, be it a sad song, dance no., masti ka gaana, patriotic song etc...most of the golden oldies which we only listen to on radio or music system without the visual medium, would not have been adored and enjoyed by millions of ppl. otherwise.....if as a listener you can feel the mood of the song, that is a true perf....

I completely agree that performance doesn't mean dancing around the stage with your eyes open....it

means connecting with the audience ...it

means creating an ambience that mesmerizes the audience...one might dance along with the song but mood should be such that the dance should not look forced or created to hype the

audience...the singer and performer in a person should work in unison to create that mood which audience can take back home....that's what I call a performance!!! 😛
