Pratigya is simple, cultured and traditional. A beautiful girl who feels lucky that her family allowed her to complete her education unlike her other friends. Though she comes from a small town which is deeply orthodox and traditional, she believes in standing up for what is right. She has no respect for violence and believes all problems can be resolved peacefully. Krishna, a local goon falls in love with her and marries her forcefully.

Krishna appears to be a rough and tough guy, who is arrogant by nature.But deep down, he is a good person who is madly in love with his wife, Pratigya. He can go to any lengths to prove his love for her, whether by threatening people or sending her love notes! He feels that if he loved someone and married her, that woman should be grateful towards him and worship him. But that does not happen when he marries Pratigya. He understands that he has to change his ways if he wants to win Pratigya's heart.
