I have a feeling that Madhuri had some pregnancy complications or came to a accident leaving Varun to his father and Vaishali. Why else would Varun be with Vaishali? I mean Madhuri loved Varun to the point that she was willing to cheat another woman to save her child from a disease. I bet the Vaishali's child gave the bone marrow to Varun because they still are step-brothers. And after Madhuri died, it opened Darmesh's eyes, and they tried to work things out and here we are in the present time, happy go lucky.
