Discusson and review- June 11, 2011 episode

• Sajdaa sisters. What a perfect start with the classical. Fantastic outfit and outstanding coordination and timing of voice, plus avant garde singing quality. Got a standing ovation from the three judges.

• Geet Sagar. Simply lived to the hype of "X" Factor. Stage presence plus attitude plus performance plus dance plus singing a track like johny gaddar with great attention to detail and voice variation...man...he rocked the stage today!
  

• Sahiti. Good, but just good. Gave a shaky start, great voice, but higher notes saw her voice getting laboured a bit. Took some time to digest her voice, but she needs some consistency while singing a track of the AR Rehman genre. Dark horse of today's episode.

• Seema Jha. For her age, singing a lataji's track talks about her willingness to do it. But she is over hyped and should get out her tomboy attitude while singing a sad track. She sang well, but lacked that feel factor. Her voice is good, but needs to improve and she needs more polish.OK..kind of benefit of doubt.

• Kartarji. Man, listening to a senior citizen performing his first live concert at the age of 63 is always a pleasure. I just hope that his hard work gets appreciated and he gets votes. He needs more encouragement and training, then some surprises may be in store for us. Brings tremendous diversity to the show.
  

• Nirmitee. To be frank, what they lost in singing a fusion of choli ke peeche and ring ring ringa (nothing new, same boring westernization thingy) they made up with performance and adding their own flavours. But somehow the impact could have been better. The impact feel was lacking. Above average at best. Somewhere the singing was flat and expressions needed to be tightening up.
  

The episode started like a typical CID golden era episode: They give the background of what is going on, but don't divulge too much. The intensity of the crime and the background is wonderfully complimented by the background music. Nowadays, FW's takes the background music too lightly, it seems. But, actually that is the most essential part in creating suspense and a mysterious atmosphere in the case. Wish they got these soundtracks back for the current episodes. Then, the mysterious circumstances of the murder were very intriguing and hooked the viewer on. I mean, the way the murder was committed, at first sight, it looked like it could've been anyone, with the lady about to stab herself, which is when the lights turn off and then the back door is open, with a drunk worker whose words cannot be trusted.

The texture, range etc of each of the Sajda sisters are different, and I was a bit apprehensive of that at first, but really hats off to them for tying it all up together . 👏 Beautifully sung! 👏

Sahiti G was literally playing with the notes! 👏 Performed with such grace and elegance, beautiful and ear-pleasing performance! 👏 She may have gone out of breath once, but other than that, she was on cloud nine! 👏

What was that was from Geet? Guess he got too much into the mood of the song 😆 The roughness was overdone by him. And the voice crack was unnecessary. Didn't like his performance, but know he can do better.

Seema has immense potential! First of all, I would like to applaud her versatility! 👏 She sung the high notes wonderfully! And she carried off the rest with perfection! 👏

What can I say about Nirmitee Group? Their middle name is 'innovation' 👏 That's what I call an organized performance! They collaborated to create a wonderful performance! 👏 Even the rap portion shocked me! 👏

I dunno what do say with Kartar ji…he was a really pleasant surprise 😊 Nothing more. Will looking forward to his singing.

Givin an electrifyin prformance..the way NIRMITEE presentd their own version of 60's jingle "Nani tere morni ko..." within matter of seconds..proved that they don't jst hv an X but the wholesome of XXX FACTOR!!!
