Abhay- Piya & Jay : That was WOW.
Look at Piya Dobriyaal .She maybe Abhay's Piya , still but she is no longer Piya Jaiswal. She has forgotten an entire lifetime , an entire fairytale , an entire life lived with her soulmate. Her mind is blank and she lives a new life amongst designer wardrobes and hot boys checking her out.
So, before you lose your head over Piya giving in to Jay's seduction and the almost kiss, stop and think. Does Piya know that she loves Abhay? Does Piya remember how crazy she was about Abhay? Does she remember at all that she never had any eyes for any man except Abhay? No. Abhay's face is her fixation , his eyes are her guardian and she loves Abhay as her angel . That is all she 'remembers'. What she definitely does not remember is that she loved Abhay with her life. She does not know that the face which haunts her is the face of her soulmate.
The girl in Jay's room was not Abhay's Piya . She was a regular hot chick with an extremely attractive man testing his seduction skills on her ' or should I say his 'effect' on her. This Piya , giving in to his game was a naive nimble girl , who in her psychology is free, unattached and single. There are no moral yardsticks attached to her and it wouldn't have been a big deal even if she would have kissed Jay. Piya's mind does not remember that she was in love with her angel ' only her heart does and that is why she is always hanging by an emotional precipice. And if Jay was a regular guy , not a vengeful werewolf or a potting hottie , Piya's future with him would have been what Abhay had hoped for her ' a happy , simple, normal life with a nice guy. After all, erasing Piya's memory was about this. Giving Piya a new life where she wouldn't remember Abhay and the darkness and just go ahead with her life.
But'.. the CONNECTION refuses to go. The connection ' the surreal soulmate connection still keeps a fossilized vampire and a beautiful girl on the verge of attraction and distraction with another man CONNECTED.
Look at the way, the creatives played out fate and the soulmate connection. There , Piya was about to kiss Jay in his bedroom . On the other hand, a group of men raised their logs to break the ice on Abhay's grave . And from the deepest corners of her heart , rose the voice of Abhay. And Piya snapped out of her Jay trance. Her moony face turned shocked and worried as Abhay told her that he was going. Those big baby brown eyes turned into horrified balls and looked at the door''..Piya heard her soulmate while she stood in the arms of a hypnotic gorgeous man.
Abhay told her that he was going. But will Piya let him go?
I think the whole beauty of the two scenes and the juxtaposition lies in the fact that here , your heroine has not 'moved on' from her true love. Your heroine is not cheating on her soulmate. Your heroine is not even falling in love 'again'. Here , the girl is under a magical spell cast by her soulmate where she doesn't even remember that she loved Abhay with all that she had. YET. Yet , even when Piya Dobriyaal takes a step towards another man, the Piya inside her , the Abhay inside her tell her that something is not right. That is why I mentioned in a post of mine the other day ' Is a connection as deep as Abhay-Piya's even possible , forget believable?
As for Jay, apart from distracting me with his hazel brown eyes and his naughty sophistication , will he do the honors of revealing who he is and what he wants? I mean, yeah, we know he is a werewolf. We know he has come for Abhay. We know he has impersonated Abhay. We know that he knows Piya's history with Abhay even better than Piya . BUT WHAT IS HE? I still can't buy what he is showing at face value. I am not sure he is attracted to Piya because the bedroom scene was more like an ego-bloat seduction test where he was testing effects. Ughs! Jay , come out with it now. One Abhay is enough to drive us up the walls , I wish you'd be kinder , baby.
P.S- Hmmm'. Actually the thought of Jay and Piya dating as Abhay comes back to Piya's life is not bad. Why? Simply because I want to see how Piya's heart and her love for Abhay defies all logic , all senses and tosses her happy little perfect world out of the window. I want to see if this Piya has it in her to love Abhay with the same depth , same obsession and same devotion even when she has a possible future with Jay. Yes, I want to see that old Piya again who loved Abhay against Abhay's will and forced him to love her back. But , then, I don't want Jay to become a tossing coin between them ( that is , if Jay's feelings are real at all ) .I mean, I don't want a repetition of the Kabir chapter.
And please, no brickbats for Piya. Her heart remembers Abhay but don't forget. Her mind has been cleansed by Abhay and the girl we have been seeing post leap is the result of Abhay's engineering skills.
P.P.S - Sorry, Mrs.Khurana. You sure ain't gonna match Haseena Raichand in any department. As far as class, persona and power is concerned, RAICHANDS are unbeatable. đ
