Rani refuses to work with Vishal Bharadwaj
Rani Mukherjee has always been keen to work with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj but recently when Vishal approached her for a film, she refused. It is believed that Rani is not impressed with the title of the movie, 'Daayan'.
A source said, "Rani was very keen to work with Vishal and Ekta. The filmmaker wanted to cast her in the title role for his next, 'Daayan' — a supernatural thriller — about a man (Emraan Hashmi) and his relationship with three women, one of whom is a witch. Rani came to Ekta's office for a meeting with the team. After an initial narration, Rani said she loved it but a few days later, she decided she didn't like the film's title and was uncomfortable playing a witch."
Another reason for her back out is said to be actor Emraan Hashmi. She is not ready to work with Emraan when she has films opposite some big stars. She is doing a film opposite Aamir Khan and is going to sign two more films of a big banner.
However, Rani's spokesperson said, 'She has no reservations about working with anybody. She is currently in the middle of Aamir's film and will sign two more biggies by next fortnight. She won't be able to give any dates to Ekta till next year. The question of casting and Emraan comes in later. She will never question Vishal about his casting — whether it's the serial kisser or anyone else'.
