Okay, so there seem to be many out there who find the description of Ram and Priya as a "middle aged" couple to be patently ridiculous...
Speaking of ageism...
What I find amazing is that in the Indian TV industry they get young actors (in their 30s and 40s) to portray much older people...by artificially greying a few hairs...(usually fake as hell)
take Ram Kapoor's step mother...it's the worst casting...it's so weird when he calls her "ma"...they look like they are the same age...in fact, RK looks older...
Surely there are actors working who would be more age appropriate? Why hire actors who are obviously much younger? What's with this industry? Usually its the other way round! We see older actors playing younger men/women...whether it's hollywood or bollywood...
Why are there no good roles being written for actors in their prime! They are forced to play older roles! So bizarre! Such a lack of imagination. As if stories can only be told about people who are between 18 and 20!
