I think for that we have to let the channel and the judges be the best authority, because quite often a singer who sounds good with orchestra and in a stadium fails to impress when the voice is recorded and heard. The people who appeared in the 4th June episode had cleared that hurdle. Yet some of the decisions were quite surprising.

Like Sonu commenting on a candidate "she sings like Chitra, but if people can get the real Chitra then why would anyone take her" Not sure if that candidate got selected or not. But then that way all female singers got their breaks singing Lata songs, so does that mean there should be no other female singer because Lata is still around?
