Maan sat on the bus stop waiting for Geet...he smiled as he remembered their talk in the morning...wherever he looked he saw Geet even at work..he messed up two meetings because of this..."where is she? she should've been here by now...I wish she was in front of me for the whole day everyday...these 8 hours felt like eternity for me...I don't know if I can spend another minute without her..." Adi came and sat next to Maan...he smiled seeing Maan being restless without Geet...
Adi: Maan relax she will be here...
Maan: i know but I can't wait
Adi: Seriously, I never seen this side of you before
Maan: That's because I never seen a beautiful girl like Geet before
Adi (laughs): hmm you are right...and remember don't mess up now..you have to find out who was that guy that came to pick her up...
Maan: Yeah I know...
Adi: Ok Maan I have to go now...I see her coming..(Maan directly looks that way) at least pretend you weren't waiting for like a despo.
Maan (clears his throat) ok yeah I got it...(Maan pretends to look the other way as if waiting for the bus..Geet comes and sits next to him...)
Geet: umm hi (Maan doesn't respond her back..."what happened to him...maybe he didn't hear me" she pokes his shoulder..Maan turns around and smiles at Geet)
Maan: oh hi..I didn't see you come
Geet: yeah I just got here...
Maan: how was your work?
Geet (looks at him "what do I say? because of him I couldn't concentrate at work at all and if I mess up one more time I will loose my job..then what would I do? But no I can't tell him that...") umm it was good..boring that's all...how about yours?
Maan ("I can't tell her that I imagined her everywhere in the office...or else she wouldn't talk to me thinking I am a physco or weirdo...no way I will let her know that...") um it was good...just umm busy
Geet: ohh ok...("now what should I talk about...this is an awkward moment...") umm the bus came...(Both got up and got into the bus...)
Maan (st): Why are we so quiet...how do I ask her who that guy was without making a fool of myself...damn I wish Adi was here..he knows how to start up a conversation...I should've listened to my Dadima when she told me I need to be open with people...I have no problem talking about business but how do I talk to her about anything...ohh god I hope its not going to be like this forever...
Geet (st): "hey babaji...what should I say...I want him to say something...I don't want him to think I am eager to talk to him...well I am...but still...at home I have no problem talking to everyone but i don't know why I feel so nervous when it comes to him..." suddenly her phone rang...
Geet: yeah...ok I will call you when I get there...where are we going? really? (she smiles) I can't wait now..ok I will call you later (Maan burned with jealousy when he saw her talking to that guy again..."where is she going? I have to find out...maybe I should follow her...no no I can't take a big chance like that..what if she sees me or else she won't talk to me...I should just ask her who it was...but try not to make it obvious...ok here goes")
Maan: Is everything alright? you seem happy...("what the hell was that? Isn't it good that she is happy? Nice going...you stupid...")
Geet: umm yeah...we are going to the beach as soon as I get home...I am really excited...
Maan: we? ("good job...find out slowly and nonchalantly)
Geet: yeah my brother and I...the person you saw yesterday...
Maan: Ohh that's your brother...("thank god or else I would've punched him in the face today")
Geet: yeah actually he is my twin brother...even though I am the older then him by two minutes he acts like he is the oldest...he is very protective
Maan: That's good...what's his name? ("just what I needed a protective brother...great")
Geet: Arjun...
Maan: You two seem very close...are your mom and dad going as well?
Geet: Yeah we are...we tell each other everything...and no my mom and dad they perfer to stay home...do you have any siblings?
Maan: yeah..I have a younger brother Vicky and my Dadima...my mom and dad past away when I was little...
Geet (places her hand on top of his without her being aware of her own movements...Maan looked down in surprise then back at Geet): I am sorry to hear that..it must be so tough growing up without any parents..I don't know what I would do without my parents...I rely on them for everything
Maan ("pretend to be sad..so that she doesn't remove her hand..." he places his own hand on top of hers ) yeah it was tough...my Dadima took care of both of us and the business...
Geet: ohh now you both can take care of your Dadima...what business do you guys have? ("I bet his Dadima is just as sweet like him...")
Maan ("Maan again you are so stupid...business...I can't tell her KC..or else...think of something...") umm she had flower business...but umm not anymore
Geet: I love flowers...
Maan: What's your favorite flowers?
Geet: I like sunflowers...(she smiled and looked down and notices her hand on top of Maan's...and blushes "hey Babaji what did I do..when did I put my hand on top of his and his hand on top of hers...what do I do? How should I remove it...idea...I should drop something on the floor and remove my hand to grab it...yeah that way he doesn't notice it either..." she drops her phone on the ground...) umm sorry let let get it...(Just when she was about to remove her hand Maan bends down to pick up her phone and hands it back to her...she faintly smiles and grabs her phone from his hand...("ok plan no.1 failed...now what? think...")
Maan silently laughs seeing Geet's plight... "sorry Ms. Geet but I am not letting go of your hand this easily...lets see what else you come up with..."
