Mini's mega vacation

Even though she's just returned from a fun-filled vacation in Australia, Mini Mathur wants to go back Down Under. Along with hubby Kabir Khan and son Vivaan, Mini recently spent eight days in Kangaroo land.

"It was so much fun, we ate amazing food, visited beautiful theme parks and made sure Vivaan had a rocking time," she remembers.

Cool dude

Since Kabir was busy with Kabul Express, while Indian Idol 2 kept Mini on her toes, Vivaan made sure, that this time around, he got quality time from both of them.

"We wanted to make this trip special for him. You have to hang out with him to realise how cool he is. Even when we're out late after dinner, not once did Vivaan complain, or get cranky. It felt like he was an adult among us."

What places did they visit? "We went to Sea World, on the Gold Coast. It's a fabulous place, with all sorts of tropical fish on display, and they have an amazing show with dolphins. Just like Kabir and I, Vivaan, too, is a water baby. He loves spending time on the beach and wading in the water."

Mini and Kabir also spent a lot of time in the gardens along Sydney Harbour. "They have a Chinese garden that awakens your senses. Then there are cute toy trains that take you around the harbour area."

What, according to her, was the highlight of the trip for Vivaan? "After we went to this giant theme park and had a blast, I asked him what he remembered most from there — 'I loved the lollipop,' he replied, angelically!" says Mathur. "I think he loved the polar bears; they made his day."

Sushi lover

Did she shop a lot? "No way, that's one thing that gets Vivaan upset. He wouldn't let us shop, so we avoided the malls. Next time, I'll go there to shop." And what was her son's favourite food? "His delicacy was sushi," says the proud momma.
