Hello Everyone,

I have been watching Geet and reading the forum for a few months now (I discovered both a little late because I wasn't in the country but have been catching up since!). I usually don't post because I find that some one has already said what I thought and I didn't really feel like I needed to. But after yesterday's episode I had some thoughts which I didn't find anybody expressing so here goes.

Have I been finding Geet's character annoying and immature lately? Yes. Especially during the whole "nahi main aapko maaf karungi or nahi main aapke saath jaungi" phase, but I sort of forgot about that completely once they reunited :) I have been reading a lot of negative feedback on Geet's character, which I think is justified to an extent but also a little harsh.

I thought Geet was perfectly right to stay back if she didn't feel right about leaving her Maasi's house on those terms and Maan respected that. Good. But it was stupid for Maan to "help" the way he did. It's like he doesn't trust her to sort things out for herself. I can kind of see why she is frustrated. He swoops in, buys their house, makes this grand plan to change them all and expects her to blindly believe that everything is going to be great because he is (HOT!) Maan Singh Kihurana? Arrogant much? I know he bought it because it was being sold anyway but he didn't have to go live there. He could have been like, "guys I saved your house. now you can keep it. you're welcome. I will be staying at a nearby super-luxury hotel, running my business, and supporting Geet in her endeavours to gain your favour until you are ready to forgive us". But no.

Finally, yesterday, Geet was trying to talk to Maan about why his plan wasn't going to work, and he completely ignored her and started having a "Mahiii moment". I love that he gets lost in the depths of her eyes or whatever but listening is key, Maan-sir. I totally get why she was irritated. I know I would have been.

So basically, Maan has some character flaws of his own and it doesn't do just to blame Geet. They both have major communication issues.

God, this turned out long and I still have more to say! I don't want to bore you unnecessarily but let me know if you do by chance want to read "In Geet's defense Part 2"/Other over-analytical ramblings. 😊

Thanks for reading!

Thank you for writing this, it was a much needed post.
I agree with you, we are completely ignoring Maan's flaws. He has not once asked Geet for advise or seek permission before he put his plan into action. He also ignored her when she pointed out that his plan would be to tough to achieve. I would be pretty annoyed too.
But Geet has been acting immature, instead of hitting him, or sending him away, they should of had a mature conversation. They both make mistakes, after all they are human.

Please do share part 2!
And it's not like to say that I love Geet that's why I am defending her at this point. Had she not voiced yesterday itself that Maan is barely with her and she is only seeing her family's life in doldrums then I would've had a problem too. Because only then would it look as if her miffed-ness isn't justified. It was very well justified when I saw that Maan had taken all the decisions -- again -- on his own. And only then did he tell Geet. We see Geet getting a little annoyed when he takes decisions -- no matter how correct -- on his own and confiding in her later. When they were talking behind the rope and he kept getting lost in her .. I found it cute .. and she even smiled because, after all, she loves him so dearly. But when she sees that things are still not ok between her and her family (especially with Beeji staring her down as if she hates her very being) then how is she supposed to go around all smiley smiley all the time?
Finally in that rope scene.. Maan Singh Khurana tells all of how he plans on winning the family over .. yet we see her still uncomfortable about it all because she knows her family versus MSK means ego clashes -- and that doesn't sit well with her. She knows there'll be a lot of tamasha hence her distress.. her miffed behaviour .. and her unwillingness to let Maan just stare at her all day because on the other side she only sees her family in a big mess.
Will Maan Singh Khurana be able to win the family over? No doubt. But the process is where they both need to work together and through the promo itself we see that Maaneet are working as a whole to help the family out.
But please do go on.. as you can see I can too 😆 ..

Nice post...makes me realise that I've been going around wearing blinkers!

But The way the current track is being projected makes one think that there's many a slip between the cup and the lip...

The cvs are bent on turning this into a study in hilarity and as a result we end up laughing ourselves so silly that when Geet acts angry we are confused.

You are right...the way Maan stormed in that day with his army of black suits was a bit in-your-face...and the resulting hungama upset Geet.

But since then, she views practically everything he does as a mistake...and keeping her distance and flouncing off at every point is not the answer...even helping Lucky seems to be a fault.

Like you rightly said..there's a lack of communication between the two and that's been one of their main problems before as well...

Hope the cvs think of sitting them down on the same side of the rope preferably and discuss things like a married couple.

Thanks for your analysis and am looking forward to more.

Heyyaaa🤗

Lovely post😃

Glad to know that someone thinks like me;😳

Have I been finding Geet's character annoying and immature lately? Yes. Especially during the whole "nahi main aapko maaf karungi or nahi main aapke saath jaungi" phase, but I sort of forgot about that completely once they reunited :) I have been reading a lot of negative feedback on Geet's character, which I think is justified to an extent but also a little harsh.

Well she was very immature and to leave KM was a childish decision. She would have very well spoken to Maan and everything would have been sorted; Damn Geet's stubbornness! Especially after Maan bought the house; Geet was bashed left and right for keeping Maan away from her.

My first question is why on earth did Maan come to stay there when he knows how much her family hates him? Wasn't he the one who told them that there is no use talking to them know?

But no.

Well as you correctly pointed out; that Maan needs to trust Geet; for once let her fight on her own. Let her fall; and then she will rise; like she did when she reached Delhi post Maaneet Love track started. I guess he didn't have to come and stay here; increasing problems for her. He could have just bought the house; been in contact with Geet and took her back with pride and given back the house! I guess then Maan Singh Khurana would have left a deeper impact on everyone's heart.

He would ahve given tips to Geet; that would have been pretty good; Their heart talks are a treat to watch! I think Maan needs to grow up; stop the over caring and trust her; their love and go back to Delhi! Sherni will handle everything")

Its high time both have a proper talk; instead of sorting issues; Maan is busy making Geet jealous; trying to flirt with her. We need logic back and on op of that; Maan needs to realize his mission for coming to Amritsar!

So basically, Maan has some character flaws of his own and it doesn't do just to blame Geet. They both have major communication issues.

As all Maan fanatics willl swoop down in favor of their Maan; beware!😆😆

Maan needs to get up; brace himself to the situation; take decisions and leave for Delhi. KC and KM both need you!

God, this turned out long and I still have more to say! I don't want to bore you unnecessarily but let me know if you do by chance want to read "In Geet's defense Part 2"/Other over-analytical ramblings. 😊

Thanks for reading!

Please we want to read what's in store in the Part 2!

Pm me; pretty please!

I hope you didnt get bore by going through my ranting!😳

I absolutely concur with you...I can see where Geet is coming from.

As she mentioned Maan doesn't seem to have the time to explain everything to her...And from Maan's POV he is used to making his own decisions. I think when people get married there is time needed for adjustment.

And the reason Geet was upset about Lucky is that she doesn't want to make the situation worse at Beeji's house...It's obvious that Beeji will think that Maan is interfering or creating an issue...Though I do like the fact that Maan is helping Lucky. 😃

And about romancing with Maan...Most people from traditional families will feel very awkward flirting with their husband in an elderly relatives house...This is especially true for Geet who grew up in a village...where as Maan grew up in Delhi where it would be more acceptable.

Maan and Geet both have some character flaws, but I believe that everyone has character flaws. No one is perfect and for Maan and Geet to have them makes them seem more real and it makes their fans want to watch them more.

Again...another good post!! 👏
Here...I am making suppositions on the likely problems that the PH may be having on the show.
Q - Why Maan bought Amritsar House...because it was going to be sold to someone else.
Q - Why did he move into the house...because
(a) we know he cannot stay away from Geet for too long. 😳
(b) the only way he was going to be able to see Geet and be near her is to move into the house. 😉
(😆c) if he moved into a hotel nearby...he would have to meet her secretly as Beeji wouldn't have allowed them to meet out in the open...here this is a guess!! 😡😆
(d) cvs wanted to create a situation were Maaneet were able to meet constantly so they can give the fans what they wanted...romantic Maaneet scenes on a daily basis...another guess here!! 😆
(e) Office track was the one that gave them their highest trps...so to get Maneet together in one scene...they moved Maan's office to Amritsar 😲😃😆
(f) I have a suspicion that they wanted the office set for their new Star Plus serial...which is also based on a high-powered tycoon..so we got the Amritsar track. Again...another guess...but I am going to watch the other serial just to see if I was right in this!!! 😆😆😆
Finally...I agree with you...their biggest problem is communication! Same as all the other serials on tv!!!! 😆😆
Ok...after writing this...I have just realized what a dog's life the cvs must have!! 👎🏼 I have to say...that they do deserve my sympathies when you consider that they have...at the most...couple of days to come up the episodes...🤪...which hopefully will keep viewers happy by taking into consideration the viewers wishes and their resources and other obstacles in their way.😔 I must be mad...sympathizing with them.. 😆 ..but I can see issues here which I never considered before!!!
But I still don't like the way Geet is behaving!! 👎🏼
