Sunil, Madhavi, Akshay, Khusboo, Shaan, Khanak...you truly are the BEST!!!
After eons...an episode to CHERISH!!! From, the first frame to the last...every scene meaningful...every scene so reminiscent of the RBO of yore!!!😃
Episode analysis dated 1st June 2011
In an episode where everything was pitched just right, the moments that stood out for me were...
The first ShaNak hug or rather the build-up to it! Beautifully done that...a 'Hall of Fame' sequence really!
No frills, no frounces...just a man distraught...who, even in his moment of isolation remembers that his greatest strength is his wife!! SPLENDID!! ⭐️
What a journey traversed, Shaan...You sure have come a long way!
This moment, IMO, is definitely a huge leap forward in Shaan's growth as an individual...cut to...the Shaan, who would always be so self-consumed that nothing else would matter...the aborted SR1 being a case in point!
This ShaNak hug will always remain UP there in my list, 'cos its significance is much more than a couple blisfully in love!😊
The Akshay-Shaan confrontation!! The tension...BRILLIANTLY captured that!! 👏
Most importantly, nothing OTT in a sequence that could have so easily become so!!
Shaan the quintessential 'outsider' and Akshay, the man who literally means business!!
What stood out for me the most in this sequence was that they were both absolutely right from their individual standpoints...Shaan expecting Akshay to help him further his musical career, and Akshay attributing Shaan's dependency as the cause for his undoing!!!
The second ShaNak scene in the bedroom...
Absolutely LOVED Khanak when she in her trademark unassuming simplistic style, prods Shaan to speak...says something to the effect that, "Even if I may not understand the complexity of your woes, try sharing them with me...should definitely make you feel that much better!" ⭐️
How typically Khanak...simple and straightforward!! 👏
And, Shaan's sheer desperation at the paradox of the absolute inabilty of his abilities...expressed multiple times thereafter...the vulnerable Shaan, bang-on!! 👏
The final face-off at the dinner table!!!
The best was in a sense, actually saved for the last!
Shaan's innocent attempt at 'doing his bit'...Khanak consumed by a sense of immense pride for her husband...and, the uneasy calm between the Khandelwals!!!
Sunil and his 'silence before the storm' was simply outstanding!! 👏
And, then...the final outburst!!!
Sunil and Shaan were absolutely FANTASTIC!!!
Sunil, a man pushed to the wall...left with no choice, but to be 'matter of fact' 👏
Shaan, a man, completely clueless...about how his best intentions could go so awfully wrong...yet again!!! 👏
And then, the final straw...to add insult to injury...a man, much married, yet still unable to fend for himself!!!⭐️
Thank you, CVs, for giving us such a SUPERLATIVE episode...
Makes our relentless efforts in the past few months seem so worth it!
Here's hoping that today's episode heralds the onset of a new era...
