Aarti was on a paid honeymoon: Sambhavna
Tushar Joshi, TNN | Jun 2, 2011, 12.00am ISTThe Bhojpuri item girl who's appeared in a spate of reality shows in the recent past is upset that her partner Khalid Choudhary was spending more time with Aarti than training with her for the show. She says the entire show was a 'paid honeymoon' for Aarti leading to her dismissal.
Were Aarti and Khalid having an affair on the show?
Most definitely. Khalid was my partner but he was spending more time with Aarti. In fact things looked fishy right from the start when they both started hanging out with each other. Initially they claimed to be strangers but soon warmed up and started behaving like long lost friends. Apart from shopping they also ended up partying a lot. It was funny that my partner was bonding so much with my rival on the show. When people started noticing this behaviour they would use sign language like making eyes at each other and giving silent signals. He would send her flowers and notes to cheer her up before the shoot.
Didn't you confront Aarti over this?
I did, but she's so two-faced that I didn't bother much. I wanted to go and perform the stunts to my level best. I was hospitalised a week before the shoot but I still decided to participate. Aarti was the biggest tantrum queen on sets and spent most of the time dolling up than working out for the stunts. It was really sad that her partner Dhaval was being sidelined because of her proximity with Khalid. She was over friendly and fake to every one on the show. Aarti definitely sabotaged my chances of winning by influencing Khalid. She was on a paid honeymoon with him.
Why didn't you take the matter up with Khalid or change your partner?
He was called the 'I cant do it' man on the show. Every one gave him the nick name because he refused to do the easiest of stunts. Each time Akshay asked him he would throw his hands up and say, "Sorry I cant do it." It was obvious that he was behaving under Aarti's influence given their relationship. I was in tears after each round because I had zero support from my partner. On the contrary Aarti didn't have to perform anything because her partner was doing everything for her. She got zero bruises and injuries unlike the other girls. This helped her move to the next rounds easily.
Would you say your chances of making it would have been higher if Khalid wasn't your partner?
Of course it would be. How could Khalid help me if he was seeing another contestant on the same show? They were working as a pair to make sure I was out of the race. In fact he would be cheering Aarti more than any one else. I am not a blind fool to let that go unnoticed!
