Go for a lengha in a unusual shade of red. My sis in law had this wonderful idea at her wedding. she got a heavily embroided chiffon skirt & dupatta but a silk dress. Later (weight went up, of course!) she had a plain dress sown and still wore it.

And advice for the future from a lady who has been married for 80 yrs (couple are 100 & 105yrs)- not me -

always go to sleep at night as friends and never annoyed with each other
