run awy or give chance

heres my story.when i started working i fell for a guy a work mate and he was d first to approch m as a friend .we use to hang out and all and he use to take me for granted and all use to hurt me .we broke up many times but i kept sayion to mslf tht patience wud pay off.now nearli 2 yrs later he is so into me and now wants me to meet his parents.ma patience has paid off.thats all gud heres the problem.

im born in india but have been leaving in fiji for like ol m life.ive adapted here .we came here coz ma dad works here,fiji is like small india.my parents want me to get to a guy of our caste from india or overseas.the guy im dating is indian totali religious done mba freakin smart and family type.suitable in evryway.
now i knw ma parents wont accpt the guy coz thy are toatli into thir caste n stuff even though thy hav been living in fiji for 30+.yet i want ma fam to mit him and if they disagree i myt run away.

what shud i do?i knew half ma life tht with ma parents thinkin i wud run away in future but i want to giv them achance to knw d boy he is suitable in evryway but that he is not of our caste,
i have waitd for this guy to love me n now tht ma patience paid of i dnt knw wat to do

my parents hvnt met him yet,.thy have taught me not to b cloz to local indians from young age .
wel he wsnt tht serious bout m b4 now he is .
i have lived in fiji for 24 yrs.how can thy expct me to mary sm guy from same caste.i have gone to india like onli few times i know onli few of my raltives there n im nt comfrtble wid thm so hw can i adjus to sm stranger

Well hope your parents have good reason why they do not like the local indians, is it because they are proud and unfriendly ?

You said he has hurt you in the past...does he still do that?...If the answer is yes then run away from him...not your parents...

The feeling that I get after reading your post is that you have already made up ur mind to marry this boy...so I don't see any harm in getting him to meet your parents...maybe they will agree with you...if not u have already decided to elope..

BTW ...teen agers run away...adults make a choice...
