Akash back from his Bangalore , trip goes straight to meet the Chairman , finds him fallen on the ground unconscious , rushes him to the ICU. Dr. Naren is called , immediate medical attention given. Chairman is out of danger. Naren informs Akash about chairman's heart problem & recommended rest . Akash angry with Naren for keeping him in dark. Naren throws up his hands – chairman's order not to tell akash & Rathi , couldn't go against it. Anyways consoles Akash, nothing serious & his dad will get well soon.

Mahasina [ Maha or hasina - Sathya's doubt] waiting for Arvind in the park . Meets journalist Sathya , have conversation over a cup of coffee. Sathya gently tries to probe about the pardha matter. Maha sirichu mazhuppafies. Arvind's arrival sabotages Sathya's plans , poor fellow takes leave. Arvind tells Maha about the OK signal from his parents for their marriage, wants immediate marriage. Maha is not ready for it , usual arguments , all being happily watched from a distance by sathya.

Chairman is on the road to recovery. Akash & Naren having a chat with him. Naren speaks about Akash's panic & worry which has really taken a toll on his health. Chairman laughs it off at Akash's panic ,boasts of his self confidence & faith in self which will keep Mr. Yamadharma Rajan at bay & accelerate his recovery , confirms it with a short story of an accident patient defying doctor's predictions & surviving solely because of faith in self ... yet again in denial -,blames mochakottai kuzhambu for the discomfiture.Dr. Naren & Akash no more ready to buy these excuses , prescribes complete rest for one week.

'Kangal' editor asks Sathya about the juicy write up on Shanthi Nilayam. Sathya gives a kutty prasangam on investigative journalism ,lengthy process , matter have to be collected , write & rewrite them , then prepare the final version , get editor's approval & then go for the printing. Editor has least patience for all this , feels Sathya is pretty slow. Second short story time ...by Sathya on professional excellency ... yaaawn , so does the editor.

Dinner treat for PK at Vicky's house. [Thalavali for Rathi] PK very appreciative of the dinner ,also of their Tiruvanmiyur house [ doubt whether this man is really a financier or property swindler], but says missed his sweetest item – Rathi Barathi. Emergency case ,hence delayed , will be back soon says Vicky Pk vazhi mel vizhi vaithu kaathirukking for Rathi, paying little attention to Vicky's conversation. Finally Rathi arrives . PK asks Vicky if he had forwarded his marriage proposal to his sister. Vicky hesitates , PK says , not to bother , he will take the mantle in his hands. Vicky relieved. Rathi comes inside , apologises for her inability to join them at dinner. Vicky sings PK praise. Rathi too joins him , lists the good deeds done by PK , top it up with his Thamizh patru, his decision to pay aparadham to old age home [ pity that old age home] for every single usage of English. Vicky then leaves them alone on the pretext of calling somebody. Eerie silence between them with PK's lecherous look at Rathi & she squirming. Later Rathi warns him about her brother's fickle mindedness & not to burn his hands by financing his project. PK gives her the shock of her life – is sinking money in the project , not for Vicky's sake but for Rathi's. Yes says PK – he is in love with her , love at first sight , madly in love with her so much so is going to change his name from PK to Rathi Bharathi Dasan on the lines of Barathi dasan . Shell shocked Rathi asks him to stop his fantasies , says her marriage will happen only with Naren. PK retorts his love is true & the fact will be established the day he ties the thali on her neck. Irritated Rathi shows him the door , PK parts with the words ' meendum sandhippom', leaving helpless Rathi staring.

Total aparadham to be paid to old age home is around RS. 16000. Am sure the old age home will be poorer by this amount.

Is PK really interested in Rathi or her money?

Update for Tues, May 24, 2011:

Akash is busy telling the other Board members about PK's proposal to pump 250 crores into the hospital and wanting to be Director of the board. Rathy comes in, with a very old man, leading him by the arm. Apparently he is the Vice chairman of the board, and he seems to be in the early stages of senility, asking what is the function for which he is there, and why they are laughing, did he crack a joke, and clarifies by saying that of late, he has become forgetful. Rathy is surprised that they are all there already and Akash says that he has already told them about the proposal by PK. Rathy says that they should discuss it before finalizing anything, but Akash says that this is like finding a whole godown filled with glucose when they have been begging for a packet of glucose. Rathy says this is not glucose, but cocaine, this will damage them all, but the other doctors seem to have already been influenced by Akash. She suggests waiting till Periappa is okay but Akash has a letter from him in which he has said that he is okay with the idea of accepting PK's offer of 250 crores and making him a Director, so she has no choice but to go with the general flow, and the resolution is passed.

Maha goes to a temple, Aravind is there, he calls her and wants to know about their marriage. When she says that she cannot get married until Salima recovers, he gets angry and says that she is sacrificing her life for these "bloody sentiments" ( I never thought I would hear such awful language in a serial by KB, having heard so much about him!), she gets angry and says she will remain unmarried all her life if that is what it takes. They get into a big argument right there in the street, and a crowd gathers. Satya is inside the temple praying and he hears this argument (sharp hearing, to be able to hear the argument outside the temple from inside when he is praying!) and comes outside to see Aravind grabbing Maha by the arm. He breaks up this fight and takes Maha away, and Aravind is still shouting at her, Enge poreydee?

Naren goes to check on periappa, who is resting. Periappa says he has been listening to old Hindi songs, and together the two of them murder one of my favorite songs, Sau baar janam lenge ... which was also dubbed in Tamil as Oraayiram paarvaiyile ... KB Sir, this Periappa can't sing for nuts, please don't make him murder a classic song by Rafi - this is my request to you! Periappa wants to know why Naren didn't attend the Board meeting and Naren at first says that he had to visit a friend, then he admits that he didn't visit any friend, but didn't attend the Board meeting because he didn't want to see Rathy defeated. Periappa says this is ridiculous, he should have convinced Rathy to agree, Naren said that he too doesn't want PK to be a Director of the board, not because he is an outsider, but because he is not what he appears to be. Periappa says he is a nice guy, even brought him flowers, and Naren says he only "seems to be" a nice guy, and they are mistaken in thinking he is a genuine guy. He leaves, apologizing for having made Periappa agitated.

Naren is on his phone, looking at it, when that mundhiri kottai Ezhil comes there, wants to know if he is getting messages from his "heart patient". He says that he has received 108 texts from her, saying "I love you", and Ezhil suggests that he reply, "I love you too". He gives her a glare (idiot, when will you see through this evil woman?) He says he is in love with Rathy, and she says that the "heart patient" knows this, he wants to know how she knows this, and she quickly says that it is obvious that this person is in the hospital, so why can't he love her and marry Rathy? At this point, he should have told her to shut up, instead he takes her stupid advice to agree to meet this person somewhere, and then to tell her that he will only marry Rathy, and Ezhil says that then this person will stop bothering him. WHY ARE YOU SUCH AN IDIOT, NAREN? USE YOUR HEAD AND EYES!

GDP office. Secretary Rupa gives permission to the bank manager to meet the high command. A lady walks in & she is given the preference over bank manager to meet GDP. We get to know about the poorvikam of the new lady from Mr Varma & Ram still waiting outside the building. The lady's name is Nandini , GDP's childhood friend , GDP's one & the only friend , Nandin's father is a retired judge , both the friends are poles apart in character , Nandini is embodiment of simplicity ,love all serve all is her policy, running a social service organisation .

Friends chit chatting. Nandini enquires about GDP's trip. Fabulous replies GDP.-Janma sapalyamnam - had dharshan of Eifel Tower before 2012 fulfilled, says has got a present for Nandini & asks her to take a guess. Nandini guesses correctly – perfume – cent persent says GDP – scent present quips Nandini [KB sir stamp - playing with words👏 ].GDP mentions it costs just Rs. 500. Nandini observes the same Rs. 500 given to a needy person will give a better satisfaction. GDP is awed at her friend's calm & composed nature. Less expectation , hence less disappointments replies Nandini. GDP wishes she too had followed Nandini's footsteps , but now it is too late , she is deeply immersed in the business ,caught hold of the tiger's tail , no escape possible , no reverse gear for her. Nandini comes to the point – purpose of her visit –her social service centre has organized a medical camp – more than 1000 poor people are expected –want the participation of Shanthi Nilayam hospital in this – need the green signal from their CFO Mr. Akash – seeks GDP's help for that. Done says GDP , it is a jujube matter. Nandini takes leave , takes the ash tray along with her , GDP protests can't live with out it , Nandini replies the ash tray can live with out her & leaves. GDP orders for another ash tray.

Maha & Sathya having a tete-a-tete over a cup of coffee. Maha voluntarily offers to tell her story to sathya. Replay of the black & white episodes Ethiraj taking money from patients , Salima cautioning him , ethiraj taking revnge onSalima , Ethiraj responsible for Salima's comatose ,maha trying to do prayahchitham for her father's mistake etc. Sathya shows his journalist budhi – happy has got the ammunition he wanted –mega serial story. Maha shocked ,says shared the matter considering him to be her well wisher & not as a journalist , pleads not to publicize her personal story . Sathya insists he will publish , surely will ethufy SN's vandavalams in Thandavalam , Maha objects vehemently , threatens legal action. Shrewd Sathya shows the recordings of her confession.

Rathi Bharathi's room , only her voice is heard , talking on the phone placing order for surgical instruments. Camera slowly focuses on the lecher PK's face then turns towards shocked Rathi's face. Rathi irritation personified.Shots an angry look at PK. Unperturbed PK quips -Vaazhkai thuNaiviya varap poraval kitte irundhu vazhthukkal vaanga vandhitukken . Livid Rathi questions his audacity to enter her cabin with out permission. Board of Directors can meet MD anytime without prior permission says PK- done my home work well – By- laws ellam by heart. Rathi frantically tries to contact Ezhil. Ezhil on half day leave informs PK. Then goes on with his lecture on Kadhal virus –there is no anti viral drug ,this virus spreads pretty fast anywhere & everywhere, can lead a person to take extreme steps , even to the extent of buying a hospital. Rathi loses her patience. Damn it shouts rathi – ennayo indha hospitalayo unnala eppovame vaanga mudiyadhu. Why not asks PK . Word Mudiyadhu will feature only in MuttaL's dictionary – Napolean Bonapart's observation not mine. Angry Rathi shots back – you very well know that I don't like you & have another man in my mind , don't think that you can enter my mind thru your 250crore investment . I do know it says PK , but then my investment will give me access to you daily , can see you , talk to you daily , can't admit an old lady every time to see you. More over Familiarity breeds love- my pudhumozhi..Continues his torture , corroborates his belief that destiny plays a major role in their life, it has decided them to be man & wife even before their meeting , the same destiny even postponed hers & Naren tying the knot by a year & a half.Rathi boiling , could take no more of this nonsense , shows him the door.PK leaves , but before that leaves his photo on Rathi's table saying it would act as a stress buster for her. Rathi gives the photo a disgusting look , picks it up with the forceps & drops it in to the trash bin.

Shanthi Nilayam – KB sir, et tu??? Intha Devi Prasad ipdi Oru artificial aa Aakash ai goad panra …and that financial wizard Aakash is not able to see through her??? And succumbs as well??? Ennanga da??? Anyways, GDP and Nandhini come to meet Aakash and ask for the free medical camp. Aakash says that it is an expensive and tedious procedure " how many doctors can I send and that too for nearly a week?? We can not afford such luxury !!! " GDP talks about keeping a mom at home and nursing her as against sending her to a home ( Roja kku sathiyama puriyalai..enna relevance??) Finally gets up folds her hands and talks to Suresh Bharathy about what he wanted to do and how his descendants are not keen about flying his charitable flag high. Nandhini does not know what hit her, she also folds her hands and closes her eyes. Aakash falls hook, line and sinker , uh huh The whole scene was so so artificial !!! Mission accomplished.

Sathya with his editor. Talks about Salima and her case – " Suresh Bharathy yin Kaathali….Rathy yaarOda daughter..blah blah…" One stenographer eavesdrops – enna use nnu theriyalai..as of now. Editor dream le sales graph engiyO pOiduthu !!!

Aakash is talking to Rathy – gloating about PK, his 250 crores – " namba hospital kku enna oru face lift kidaikka pOrathu theriyuma?? Hi- tech hospital.." Rathy digs - " so poor people namba hospital ai paarthu bayanthu…may not come??" Aakash says that these days the public want to enter only a hi-tech facility. Hassina comes in as Mahalakshmi and talks about her faux pas – " spoke to that Sathya …all about my history….ippO avan kanna pinna nnu ezhuthi….ungalai Avamaana paduthi…" Aakash jumps " I told you that we should send that guy to abacus training. You stopped me from complaining .ippO he is back to bothering us " PK calls Aakash and of course he rushes to meet PK, the great. Rathy asks Maha " you know that guy….why did u play in to his hands??"

Update for Tues, May 31, 2011:

PK asks his secretary, Mani, to call the editor of KaNNgaL magazine. PK talks to Mr, KamalakaNNan (KK) and asks him about his health, does some flattery and then comes to the point - bury the story about Shanthi Nilayam. In return, I will give you Rs. two lakhs. KK talks of thozhil neyarmai, so PK raises the offer to three, then four lakhs, then they settle on Rs. five lakhs, cash.

GDP and her friend Nandini in her office, GDP is trying to find out why Nandini was dumbstruck when she saw Akash, and Nandini confesses that she has fallen hard for Akash. Some teasing goes on between them. Nandini thinks he looks like Tom Hanks (and I look like the actress, Sneha!) and GDP teases her (and I am wondering about the need for this segment).

KK tells someone to print the edition of the magazine without the story of Shanthi Nilayam in it, he says that it has already been printed, so KK tells him to print it again. This guy goes out and tells Sathya all about it, and Sathya is furious because he has just finished gloating about it to his friend, the Inspector. He goes and asks KK, who says PK begged him not to publish that story because it will affect the reputation of Shanthi Nilayam, and PK being a director of the board, didn't want it to come out. Sathya comes to the point and asks him how much the bribe was, and leaves, angry, saying that there are other magazines in the city and he will go to one of them.

KK calls PK and warns him about Sathya's anger.

Vasanthi is getting the old newspapers out to give the pazhaiya paperkaaran. Just when he is weighing them, she sees an article in one of the issues, gets busy reading it, and doesn't even notice when the man pays her. She runs to the phone to call her husband, then comes back to the puja room, talks to God, and says she will do cheetu, if she gets kungumam, then she will take it as a go ahead signal, if she gets vibhuti, then it will be a Stop sign. She goes outside, finds a boy playing outside, and asks him to pick a cheetu. He picks the kungumam, so she is excited and runs to the phone to call her husband and asks him to come home, so she can tell him her news. She thanks the Lord Murugan and decides to do an abhishekam in Pazhani.
