All glam, no sham

It might have been a glamour awards night, but everyone who was at the Zoom Glam Awards on Sunday night at the Hilton Towers had only one thing to say. If you want to be glamorous, you have to be simple.

Among the early birds at the awards were Dipannita Sharma, Nethra Raghuraman and Shruti Seth. Of the three, the last one caught our eye for her black full-sleeved figure-hugging dress she wore. And just when we were thinking why anyone would wear black during summer, we realised that it was a clever move really, for the air conditioning was working all too well.

By the way, full marks to Dipannita who oh-so-gracefully welcomed her ex-boyfriend Kunal Kapoor as he hung around with the trio for a bit. Among other women, we were quite impressed with Neena Gupta's choice of an orange sari and were thankful that Mandira Bedi hadn't worn hers.

We couldn't help but chuckle when Bipasha Basu almost ordered John Abraham to come up on stage, collect the award and acknowledge her for it! Needless to say, he did! Off-stage the two were simply inseparable as they rushed home soon after collecting the award. Kareena Kapoor was the other person who made a quick appearance.

Strutting their stuff were models Carol Gracias, Diandra Soares and Anchal Kumar, who set the ramp on fire. Atul Kasbekar who walked home with the Most Glamorous Photographer award looked pretty excited about winning it, as did Kareena Kapoor who made sure to thank Manish Malhotra. Among the others were Narendra Kumar, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Bappi Lahiri, Ritu Kumar Neha Dhupia and models Neha Kapoor and Muzzamil Ibrahim.
