Hi all ! Just wanted to share wht i feel ..
I think considering the attractive promos that were shown on TV on ADHM, i already had a very high expectation of this show. But when the serial started, it was rather flimsy. Sad to say, the direction is rather poor.
The main protanganist, Rusty is supposed to be a British girl. But she looks completely like a north indian with blonde dyed hair. Her English has a VERY strong indian accent to it and her hindi sounds fair. The girl's voice is clearly dubbed by someone else and if her voice is kept remaining dubbed for the entire show, it'll soon lose the sense of reality. When the show started, we learnt tht Rusty learnt hindi frm a Pakistani friend. fair enough. meaning she never knew the existence of such a language before she met her Pakistani friend. so why does she speak Hindi with John her father? and John i assume is full British.
i just hope honestly after a while we can get used to this lanuguage switching and speaking.
Next, i think they started on the concept a bit too early. As in the first episode itself, we r clearly given the idea tht Rusty has some connection with India. Don't u think it was a bit to abrupt?
i mean i thought if they had shown Rusty's life in London and her r/shp with her British parents a bit more in detail, i could've probably understood her better. They kind of jumped in with the tarot card reader, the instrument... which i felt was pretty abrupt and effected the flavour of the show.
I cant say anything else abt the show coz it has just begun and i think we shud give it time to develop. But this was only my viewpoint after wht i saw for the first 4 episodes. It didnt leave up to the promos tht were airing on Sony Tv.
Plus the concept of "reincarnation" has been dealt with sooooo many times in different channels.
To name a few, Ateet-zee tv, Des mein nikla hoga chand - starplus and even the new Ek radha Ek shyam- starplus.
i really hope the concept ibecomes different and Aisa des hai mera will hopefully do good.. đ
