| Tuesday (April 25) afternoon, Salman Khan got his US visa stamped and Cineyug's Morani brothers- Ali, Karim and Mohammed - heaved a huge sigh of relief.
The fate of the Rockstars 2006 tour featuring Salman Khan, John Abraham, Zayed Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Esha Deol was hanging in the balance, ever since Salman was convicted few days ago.
The Rockstars is now scheduled for travel to Canada, USA, UK and Europe.
In all probability, Salman is leaving for the US way ahead of any of the other members. Yesterday evening, Mohammed Morani told this writer, "Yes, he is leaving probably on April 28th or 29th. The rest of us will go on May 2nd. It is better if he goes before us. People there have become very uncertain about his arrival ever since the tour was thrown in jeopardy. If he goes early, he will create a lot of positive buzz, which is now necessary. His UK visa did not encounter any problem. Only the US remained, which was very important because many shows are in the US. We got the message in the morning that it had been cleared by the US consulate."
Mohammed further said, "We Moranis have scripted and directed the show. We work on simply professional fees. Hamare nuksan ka itna sawal nahin paida hota. The promoters would have been in trouble, and suffered huge losses." Mohammed revealed that Salman was the engine of the show. "On every tour, there is one engine. This time it is Salman," and he added, "John Abraham also has an important role to play."
On Monday, there were loud whispers in the industry circles that Salman had been denied his visa. All other actors in the tour were not interested in going if Salman was not going. Ali Morani had confirmed with this writer, "Earlier we thought that we would go without him, but now we have decided 'no Salman, no tour.' We are very worried. There are many clarifications and clearances to be done. Let's hope for the best." The buzz is that the visa was rejected on Monday, and Salman reapplied for it on Tuesday.
The tour was originally scheduled to leave on April 17th. "If things wouldn't have fallen in place now, then we may have made the same tour in December 2006. Anyway, all's well that ends well," Mohammed signed off with a smile.
All the three Morani brothers will be present throughout the tour. Salman will be shooting for David Hawan's directorial 'Partner', as and when he gets time off. Rockstars Itinerary:
