It doesn't matter now whether the article is true or false. The show is totally ruined now. I don't find any scope for dutta to come back and make everything right. Even if he comes, he'll have to work for atleast 1 year to make nakku better, solve patilwadi messes,,,,and now the baaji matter. So much to damage a show. I don't think Misal will be wanting to come back.

Personally i'm wishing for seeing him in a brand new show. I truely believe that once it starts, we'll again feel better.

But i'm bit confused about the bollywood thing. Its so fishy now. I even heard that he'd signed a movie contract with popcorn and will begin shooting for the film as soon as he returns from holiday break. God know, what is all there behind the curtain.

This is something I really want for MR. But Bollywood is a fickle place, and just being a brilliant actor isn't enough! You don't always get a Wednesday or a Swades. It's luck, most of the time.

Personally, i don't want MR to come back as Dutta now, because it looks like the show is beyond salvage. And with the current level of writing, I'd cringe if Dutta is made to come back and do un-Duttaish stuff. *shudder*

I agree with Nureat. A character like Dutta comes once in a blue moon! A combination of perfect writing, brilliant acting and all the subtle nuances that create magic onscreen! Indian shows like the shallowness, and it's very rarely that they experiment with a character and challenge us, instead of insulting our intelligence. This hesitation to experiment with layered characters, is one of the reasons why we don't have a Dexter Morgan or a Barney Stinson! A layered, damaged, standoffish character like Dutta is, and will remain, for a long long time one of the most iconic Indian television characters ever!

There's a part of me that will forever remain heartbroken because of what they did to the character. Atleast I'll think twice before becoming emotionally invested in something that isn't real. *sigh*

Adore Jeff Lindsay's layered and shaded character Dexter Morgan...a forensic analyst ,serial killer with a strong sense of justice and elaborate code of ethics...Wow!

Barney Sintson is another favorite of mine 😆. Would love to watch MR play such characters.😍

Dutta is one of the best we have across on Indian TV in years!

I haven't read the books, am catching up with the series now. Dexter is indeed amazing, and I'm loving the gradual humanization of the character.

As for Barney Stinson, I've said it before and I'll say it now...there's more to him than meets the eye. He's much more than a one dimensional womanizing idiot, and Season 6 is proving me right.

As much as I love these characters, they haven't touched me the way Dutta has. There is something so heartwrenchingly poignant about this character, something undefinable, and this is one of the reasons he'll stay on top of my list of fictional characters for a long long time. Sigh.
