Guru Daskhina
Naku had got up before Dutta and made her way down to her room, only to find Gaurav snoring away in her old room, she ignored him and headed for the shower with her clothes, as she would have to get ready inside the actual bathroom and apply her soot.
When Dutta had realised that she was gone and hadn't even bother to put the pillows or blanket back he'd just sighed in bother, he thought that Naku would be in the bathroom, ..women he thought, they take ten years to do everything, he was already beginning to wonder that had he just entered a marital life in haste without realising the action he'd took last night, but than when he recalled Gaurav he'd automatically confirmed that into a yes, he didn't like the idea of him and Naku being best friends, I mean can a guy even be a friend with a girl... for that long, but Baji and Naku had been friends since the time she'd stayed here, ...but than even their laid back friendship bothered Dutta, ...why, he thought to himself, he didn't ever feel insecure around Supriya, when she'd spoken openly with or about Ravi, which reminded him to get Kishore to find out every little detail about that fool, something was bound to slip up, if not in the practical sense, than definitely in the paperwork or books side of it, everyone trailed back somewhere, and there was a good chance of finding something in that side.
After much waiting Dutta had got up and checked to see if she was in there after all, only to find it empty, maybe she'd already legged it before he got up, he thought as he shrugged his shoulders and shut the door behind him.
Naku, Gaurav was awake now, I hope you took in everything I told you yesterday, ...lekin Gaurav, tum jaante ho na, ke Ayi kabhi nahin maanegi, she answered, ...maine tume ek baar bol diya na, ke Kaki chaha kar bhi mana nahi kar payegi, to tum mere pe bharosa kar na, he replied back very casually.
Pata nahin ke tum kya kar ne wale ho, lekin mujhe bohut ghabrahat ho rahi hai, she said nervously, ..agar Saab ko gussa... but before she could finish Gaurav had butted in clearly irritated by his name, and said what is it about him that worries you Naku, I mean why are you always worried for the one person that hurt you the most, he shouted whilst standing up, ...why are you always crying for the heart that hurt you the most Naku, I mean it doesn't make any sense, what do you see in that guy, he questioned at her whilst almost making her cry.
Gaurav jo mujhe dikhaye deta woh tuje kabhi dikhaye nahin dega, she said in defence, in a low almost whispered voice, kya... kya kaha tumne, he questioned back sarcastically hearing her but yet wanting to taunt her on her comment, haan Gaurav, theek sunna tumne, Saab ka dil jitna acha hai, shayad hi koi dekh sake, aur agar dekh bi lega na tho kisi ko samajh bhi nahin aayega, lekin mujhe Saab ka dil sab bol deta hai, Saab ka dil unke khud se zyaada mera hai, she said not knowing most of the words coming from her mouth, as she got more and more determined with each word.
But Gaurav didn't buy it, he simply let out a loud smirk that now bothered Naku, what are you grinning about Gaurav, and this time it was she who demanded the answer, well.. he started, if this is how much you love this guy... or whatever, he said not knowing whether Dutta was eligible to even be called a guy, but anyway that didn't matter, all that mattered was that Naku was crazy about this guy, and he didn't even know it, or so he knew it, but not in the sense that he should know it, thought Gaurav, almost confusing himself as he put the bits together.
He loved Naku to bits, but that didn't mean he had to love everything she was in love with... he thought, and than figured that of course Naku was blinded in love, that was why she couldn't see anything beyond Saab, ...dekh Naku, zidd mat kar, maana ke tu usse pyar karti hai, lekin tera Saab kya tujhe pyar karta hai... he said this time with concern as he walked up to her and looked her straight in the eyes and held her by both her shoulders securely, ...as Naku looked into his eyes left and right, she knew she didn't know the answer to this, ...pata nahi... was all she could say weakly, as she freed herself from his grip and turned her back on him, to avoid eye contact, why don't you know Naku, you just said that his heart listens to you more than it does him, than why hasn't his heart told you that this guy doesn't love you, he said flatly, making Naku stir in a mix of sudden emotions, first sadness, then shock, then disappointment, and than anger...she'd lashed out on him this time, how do you know that he doesn't love me she said, not wanting to even hear the words, she tried to push him back with both her hands but failing miserably, so what if his heart hasn't told me that he loves me, but like you said Gaurav, it hasn't told me that it doesn't ! She shouted while breaking down with tears, to kya huwa...she said still trying to convince herself of something she was unsure of, while falling to the ground, and Gaurav tried to console her, but for the first time she didn't want it, she pushed him away, not that she was strong enough to do so, but Gaurav usually plays that part for her himself, moving away from her, he said I'm sorry, but Naku the truth is that your just blind, ...pyar andha hota hai Naku, issilye tume kuch dikhaye nahi de raha... he continued but this time mildly, ...tho nafrat bhi to andhi hoti hai Gaurav, aur shayad issiliye Saab ko bhi kuch dikhaye nahin de raha... she said without emotion still trying to look for some kind of hope.
Hmph, Gaurav just made a funny remark at her hopeless words and said, aage andhaa koop mein, dooja liye bulaye, donon doobe baapure, nikase kaun upaye, ...leaving Naku shocked by his words, is that why her and Saab's relationship had no importance, because they were both lost in their own darkness, like Gaurav had said, if one man is blinded by the darkness ahead of him, than why does he call the other in with him, once they are both lost on their path of nothingness than who will guide them back out, who will take them out of the well of darkness, as they are both blinded, one by love, and the other by hate, but nevertheless both are blind, this was one of the quotes written by Sant Kabir, Guru ji had taught them all of the philosophies and poems by the great Saints that walked Banaras.
As Gaurav had left Naku's room he'd bumped straight into Dutta hard, making Dutta grab him by his collar, but than realised that he was just wearing a white vest which carved around his abs, showing off his body, and instead he just pushed him back with force making Gaurav get shoved off his feet but not for long, ..but rather than attacking back he'd just tapped his forefinger against the side of his forehead and told Dutta, ...listen, I've had it up to here with you two and your love story, and than getting confused by the words he just spoke and said, whatever the hell it is, because no one acts like that.. he said pointing back to his room ardently, ...if she's faking it..., and you... he said creasing his forehead in lots of lines due to his confusion and fury, ...you seriously want to figure out what it that is bothering you exactly, 'cause if you hate her, than you know you're certainly not acting like it, in fact you look like your some kind of obsessed lover... I mean you're always trailing her, and I hate that about you, and I hate the fact that she loves you, as much as I love her..., when he said this Dutta had edged closer to Gaurav again wanting to hit him, ...see you're doing it again, said Gaurav putting his hands up like trying to say 'what the hell' literally, ...so as much as I love her, I strongly disagree with her choice and I will by all means make her see sense, he threatened this time, Naku had come out of her room by now after hearing Gaurav's words getting louder, he was still there, she thought as she rushed outside and stopped to find him talking, ..well if that's what one would call it, ...to Dutta.
She hadn't managed to stay unnoticed, both the guys had looked at her now, and Gaurav who couldn't just shut up even if someone had told him to his face he just had to finish off saying something before he left, ...you know what you're both useless, she's just a stupid girl, ...he said pointing a rude finger at her but telling Dutta instead, ...who's set her hopes way too high for someone like you, and you, ...he said this time pointing a finger at Dutta, who was strangely listening to everything Gaurav had to say, ...well you're just a stupid guy who doesn't know what's in front of him, he said again pointing a finger back at Naku without looking, ...love is begging you at the doorstep, but you're too blind to see it, he said getting more irritated by each moment, ...you know you must be the only man in the world that I've seen love begging you like it was some worthless piece of trash, but you know in the real world it is the other way round, people beg for love to become part of their life, and some even die trying.
As he finally decided he was finished, he went back towards Naku's room, and whilst walking back said that who am I telling, you're both blind, he added in sarcasm, as he shut the door on Naku's face.
Dutta had just turned to leave without saying anything, it had taken a minute or two for everything to register, was that true thought Dutta, could that idiot seem to know what was right and wrong, ..okay so clearly he didn't love Naku, from his so called speech one thing was clear... but than why did that make Dutta suddenly feel at ease, was that why he was so calm, but he was Naku's friend, well best friend, so it could simply be that he wants the best for his friend.
To his surprise Baji had been standing before him, Baji had made it pretty clear that he heard most of everything that Gaurav said, but rather than saying anything about the current situation Dutta had changed the subject straight away, not giving Baji a chance to tease him about what had happened, ...tu sube sube kaha chala gaya tha, maine tujhe har jaga dhoonda, said Dutta as front for a conversation, ..arre Bhau woh mujhe ek bohut hi jaroori kaam yaad aagaya, aur usse aaj hi khatam karna bohut zyaada zaroori tha Bhau, he said trying to change the subject and talk about business, which Dutta had been pretty keen on too.
Later that evening Gaurav had bought someone who he introduced to Ayi Sahib and the rest of the family, Naku hadn't been around, maybe she headed for the market, although it was usually during the afternoon that she went, but after the things Gaurav had said to her she probably need some fresh air, and it was still light outside, she was bound to be back before dark, he thought.
Shastri ji hume aapse milke bohut hi khusi huwi hai, aur yeh humara saubhagya hai ke aap ne humare ghar mein pravesh kiya aur hume aapki seva ka ek mokha diya... said Ayi Sahib in Shastri ji's welcome.
As time had progressed, Ayi Sahib had told him of Nakusha, which Gaurav had told already to his father, she had tried to go in somewhat detail of the whole wedding scenario, but with a lot of hesitation, and had also told of Roops and Baji getting engaged, which was to be two days after the wedding, Shastri ji had than suggested that he read Baji's and Roops kundli's to match them for an appropriate date, he had told her that no event regarding happiness should be kept waiting, and that what ever happened must hold some strong reason, but than Ayi Sahib hadn't let Dutta's violent and angry nature go amiss, and had asked for him to check Dutta's kundli too.
Baji had returned by now, but Dutta hadn't, he was much fond of the new guest, but it was more because of the fact that his and Roops kundli had made a good match, and he'd even said to let their engagement happen anytime this week, as it would be considered a good omen, indeed thought Baji to himself.
When Ayi Sahib had bought Dutta's kundli she'd asked Gaurav and Baji to leave kindly, as there were a few more things she wanted to ask in private, and of course they'd left but not wanting to.
Now Shastri ji and Ayi Sahib were alone in the mandir area of Patil Niwas, and immediately Ayi Sahib had asked Shastri ji to match Naku's and Dutta's kundli too, and to predict what fate had in store for them, but confessed that she hadn't possessed Naku's kundli, but Shastri ji had told her that she was after all his student and he could make one within seconds, and not to worry.
Ayi Sahib had asked him if he'd read her horoscope before, but he'd simply said that kundli's are such things that must only be read when the time is right, never without reason, so no he hadn't, this would be the first time he would be reading it.
It took some time for him to make the kundli, but than when he had began reading it his eyes had widened from time to time, his expressions looked like they were of amazement, and than of concern, and than he'd shook his head in a slight movement from left to right, like he was amazed by what he'd read, or almost like he'd discovered the undiscovered. All the while Ayi Sahib was beginning to get nervous, but didn't want to say anything to disturb him. Than to add to Ayi Sahib's nervous nature more, Shastri ji had put his glasses on to observe even more closely, while he carried on using his thumb to do some sort of calculation his free hand, he seemed to be repeating the same equation again and again, as if he wanted to prove to himself there was some kind of mistake.
And then finally he removed his glasses, and decided to speak...
Shakuntla ji, aaj tak maine aise kundli kabhi nahin dekhi, apne poore jeevan mein, aap ka beta khushnaseeb hai, ya phir Nakusha bitiya, yeh hum khud be nahin keh sakte, yeh dono jaise ek dusre ke raksha kawach hai, khud ko chott lage ya na lage, lekin ek dusre ki chott ka dard inhe zyaada hota hai...
...dard, yeh aap kaise baate ke rahe hai...but before she could finish, he's raised his hand in order to tell her to remain pateient.
...dekhiya Shakuntla ji, hum jaante hai ke aap ek maa ho, lekin jo dard ka rishta hota hai, wohi rishta sukh ka bhi haqdaar hota hai, woh sukh hi kya jo dukh ke bager aajaye, dukh hai, to hi sukh ko apni asli jagah milti hai, he finished trying to make her see sense in his theory.
...Jahan tak humne dekha hai, aap ko chinta karne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai, he said in a ever so pleasing tone, aap bohut his khush naseeb ho ke aap ko Sita jaise bahu, aur Prabhu Sri Ram jaisa beta mila hai, Ayi Sahib's eyes had widened now, and her lips slightly parted not knowing what to say in reference to what Shastri ji was saying.
Shakuntla ji aap yun samjhi ye, ke aisi janam kundli maine aaj tak isiliya nahin dekhi, kyunki aisi bhagya kissi ka bhi nahin likha hai, aisa lagta hai ke jaise sakshaar Bhagwan ne yeh kundliya likhi hai, itna gehra prem humne na aaj tak dekha hai, na suna hai, aur itna pavitra prem sirf aur sirf prabhu Shri Ram aur Sita mayya ka tha, isiliye hume gor ascharya ho raha hai, yeh kundliya dekh kar, kyunki jo aap ne mujhe bataya, aur yaha jo likha hai, in sab main to zameen aasmaan ka pharak hai, he went on, ...aur tho aur sab se hairani wali baat yeh hai ke, jis din Naku aur Dutta ki shaadi huwi, theek wohi pal aur wohi same, inki shaadi ka shub mahurat tha, aap ke bete mein sirf Nakusha ka hi saath likha hai, wo bhi ussi din jis din yeh shaadi huwi thi, artaath yeh shaadi koi itefaaq nahin hai yeh sanjog hai, do aatmao ka milan.
Inki shaadi shuda zindagi mein bohut hi khatinaya aayengi, lekin inka prem itna mazbood hain ke koi bhi buri bala in dono ko choo bhi nahin sakti, yeh dono khud keliye bekaar aur ek dusre keliye daal hai...aise maine pehli baar dekha hai...yeh prem aisa hai ke sab in ke virrudh kamzor par jayenge.
Sabse sundar baat tho yeh hai Shakuntala ji, ke Ram aur Sita tho phir be iss darti pe sakshaar Bhagwan ka roop the, lekin yeh dono to kewal insaan hai, kya inki prem katha sach main aisi khatinaye ke raaste pe chal sakti hai, kya inke pyar main itni himmat hogi... and than he grinned at Ayi Sahib's confused face and said...
...aap chintit na ho, jo huwa nahin, iska yeh matlab nahin ke ho nahi sakta, in dono ka milan to swayam bhagwan ne kiya hai, aur jo bhi iss pavitra bandhan ko todh ne ki koshish karega tho unka saamna bhi tho ussi bhagwan se hoga, to phir chinta karne ki to koi baat hi nahi hai, he finished, and told her to continue with celebrations regarding her youngest daughter.
Baji and Gaurav had been way to nosey to just sit back quietly and not know what had happened, and therefore decided to eavesdrop instead while guarding each others back while doing so. Gaurav couldn't believe what his father had said, and Baji somehow wanted to believe every word of it.
Naku had finally returned and had been shocked to her wits that she had finally met Guru ji, who she thought she would never meet again, but to her surprise he hadn't seemed too impressed with her, and asked to speak with her alone, this had made her nervous, making her think what she'd done wrong, she could bet her life on it that Gaurav had stirred some kind of trouble for her, after the mood he'd left in the morning.
But to her surprise her Guru ji had sat her down and speeched her on what he'd taught her over the years, and that everything she'd learnt was meant to better her life not for her to abandon it and treat it like it were some curse, and than as an ultimatum he'd asked for the one thing she would never believe, Guru Dakshina, he'd asked her for his guru dakshina, he'd told her to accept all her talents and knowledge he'd taught her back as his fee for teaching her, and all of a sudden she understood what Gaurav was on about, 'a fairy godmother', ...although he could have changed that to 'a fairy godfather' she thought, but than that would surely give it away.
She told Shastri ji that she probably couldn't remember most of it, and weren't even sure if she could sing or dance the way she used to, but Guru ji simply said the that the things we love the most never leave us, you'll find a way around it, he answered, and yes Nakusha, give the old man some peace tomorrow morning he said before he left for the night.
Apparently Gaurav had met her family in the basti, and even Babi couldn't refuse to Shastri ji's Guru dakshina, as it was considered of a high status, and no one could ever refuse such a thing, and therefore made her helpless in the situation, and at the same time told them that Naku was going to be entering the dance competition and to tell that Morey next time he turns up that you'll have his 5 lakhs.
When Naku woke up in the morning for the first time in many years, she wanted to sing from her heart openly, but feared if she would be able to sing as well as she used to, as she stood at the mandir and lit the tootbati, and the joth, she put a pallu over her wet locks and tried to sing like she once did, but carefully...
The voice had unbelieveably hit Dutta's ears first, he was drawn to the voice like he were getting pulled by some magnetic force...
Kalavathi had just sipped her tea and almost choked on it at the moment, and began coughing frantically, asking her husband who was singing so loudly in morning, but to her surprise he was already out of the room...
Guru ji knew that she would come around, and now all she needed was a few extra pushes to make her dance again, which seemed as though Gaurav had already thought of a good way to start...
Roops couldn't believe how beautiful Naku's voice really was, she only heard about it, but hearing it was totally different...
Gaurav just smiled to himself as he heard Naku's voice but stared at Dutta's expressionless face, and to think this was only the beginning, after yesterday's heated up conversation, Gaurav had his doubts that maybe Naku was right, no one said he didn't love the girl, after what his father had said, he knew all this guy needed was a little faith...
Baji just stared with jaw dropped to the bottom, or at least as low as it could go, good job Gaurav opted to dance for their engagement, if Naku could sing like this, than her dancing was definitely something he'd wanted to see, well another two days, was that too far...
As Dutta heard her voice he couldn't even for that one moment disagree that her singing was bad, even if he hated her, someone with a voice like that, did she really need to trap him, she could have done all this before and trapped him anyway he thought, not knowing where his thoughts had been wandering, her voice was serene, it filled him with a sudden calmness which he didn't want to let go of...
...but than as usual Baji had to come and break his trance, ...arre waah Bhau, yeh to gaati bhi hai Bhau, he said dumbly, when Dutta just gave him a side glance and gave him a killer look, ...but Baji would never know the meaning of shutting up, in fact it didn't exist in his dictionary, ...Bhau, mujhe nahi pata tha ke jisse main ab tak raavan samajh tha raha...woh jaake Ram nikle ga... he said as he walked off almost like he were still talking to himself, and left.
Ayi Sahib, would could never for a second believe that this girl could betray anybody, she had already accepted her whole heartedly as her Bahu, who happened to be exremeley sushil...
As Naku sang she could fill her soul become lighter, she could finally feel herself breathe after many days...
well well, would u luk at dat, yep it's another looong update lool😳😳, I guess i cnt do short lol, like Baji it dn't exist in my vocabulary lool😆
ok first of all sorry to all spesh Mehga lool, who is now up n runnig lo...glad to hear it, dat I haven't didn't get 2 comment on every comment lol, I have read each an every one of them, but the truth is it's bin a bsy wknd, and 2 tell d truth I weren't even gonna update 2dy, but only did cz d gals wanted me 2 lol...
..so i hope u do enjoy, i know, a bit of a weird taste 4 d music dis tym round lol, but kya karu, if I shot dat scene on camera it wud've had dat kinda music palyin in bg 4 effect...😆
well dis is got sum story init so cudn't concentrate on jealousy track too much in dis one, but will continue soon...😛

okaaay, so i dunno how u lyked d religious part of it, but i dnt fink the prediction by the actual LTL pandit was all dat lol, n i fink dat part cuda dun wid a bit mor faith lool, so i guess dis i my version😳😳
