Kaka, is walking outside in the corridor, and finds cool breeze wafting out of Rohini's bedroom door, and he sits outside to enjoy the cool breeze on this hot summer day and
reads the newspaper. Inside, Rohini, fans herself, and says, she has switched the air conditioner full, and then she notices that her mother has not closed the door, and finds fault with her, and gets up and closes the door. Kaka, feels the cool breeze no more, and then knocks on Rohini's door. He finds her inside enjoying the cool breeze with her mother in law. Kaka passes some remarks about paying the electricity bill, and she retorts and tells him, that his bill is paid by her father in law, and he need not show so much concern. Kaka, walks off, and her mother in law tells her not to speak like that to the elders, and she tries to snub her mother saying that they do not have the guts to stop him, and their giving him such a long rope, has brought them so much unhappiness. Then the father comes and smooths the ruffled feathers, and tries to sort things out, and Rohini once again puts the air conditioner, and continues enjoying the cool air.
In Naina's office, the jeweler telephones her and tells the designs have not been picked
up, and he will send them to her office. Akruti has still not come back, and Abhimanyu and she go to the caterers to discuss about the Mediterranean menu, with a party close to Daksh's old school. Abhi shows Naina their old school, and tells her about their past, and entertains her, as he takes her to the caterer. It is getting late, and Akruti is still out with Ayush. She feels guilty for not telling Naina the truth, but Ayush tells that he always lies and does not mind it. It gives jitters to Akruti, who has always been taught about high morals and the value of telling the truth. She can not digest Ayush's attitude, and she is on pins and needles.
At home, Daksh is still waiting , for Abhi and Naina, and has not eaten his food, and so too has his Mother been waiting for them. He is a straight forward boy, who believes is doing the right thing. He expects that Naina should have called, if she could be stuck out, for some work, and since she has not called, he feels upset about her doing this. His mother tells him, not to wait for them but have his food. He is adamant, and refuses to start before they come back.
Out Naina and Abhi have finished their business with the caterer, but before going home, the boy, as exuberant as ever, tells her to have a pani puri eating challenge. Naina too gets carried away, with his pranks, and accepts the challenge. The go to a pani puri kiosk and order and Abhi goes on and on, and never tires, and finally, Naina can not go on any more, and stops. Abhi prides himself, for winning the contest, and they drive home. As they enter the house, Abhi jokes and laughs loudly, and is not aware of the feelings of his hosts. Naina too is taken up with the mood of Abhi and she too laughs which makes Daksh angry.
In a war of words, Daksh tells them that they did not show any consideration for those at home, and he chides Naina for not calling, as he never expected her to forget to call. He tells them that they treat their home as a hotel, and make them wait. Naina feels apologetic, and Abhi is still high. They tell them that they have eaten enough and can not have the meals. Ayee prods Daksh to have his meal, but he is very upset.
Abhimanyu has a dramatic flare up with his hosts. He is angry that they have treated him as a guest and not their cousin and so he wants to leave. The Aunt pleads with him not to leave, and Naina too shows concern, which irritates Daksh. Abhi continues his drama, and upsets all of them. When Daksh relents, and yields, Abhi lets off a roar of laughter and all of them say, this Abhi will not change. He was like this as a child, and as a young man too, he has not given up his childish pranks. All feel good and go to sleep.
Daksh is alone, and looking out of the window, at the night sky, and Naina sees the light in his room, and comes to inquire why he has not slept. At first Daksh is serious, and
feels hurt, but Naina, shows her true nature, and apologizes to him, and holds her ears with both hands, and makes sit down and stand ups, for each of her mistakes. One for eating pani puri, the other for not telephoning them, and so on. and finally, she says, she will do one more, for any other thing which she might have done to offend her friend, Daksh. He sees through her clear and honest eyes, the hidden love in her and his lips part with a smile, and he holds her hands and tells her to stop apologizing. They have made up. Many fans of DakshNa, will take a deep sigh of relief ! Do not give up hopes. They will win in the end.
