Sanjeevani's Delivery Room (DMG OS)

It had been five years since the day Armaan and Riddhima were finally back in each other's arms. In some sense a lot had changed, Armaan and Riddhima were now married, Sid and Shilpa were getting there,and Rahul and Muskaan too were married and had adopted three children.. On the other hand things hadn't really changed at all, Armaan was still losing to Riddhima in basketball, Shilpa was still pranking every single member of the hospital, Muskaan and Rahul were still at each other's throats all the time and Atul was still trying to get Anjali to admit that she loves him. But tonight wasn't about what happened in the last five years, it was about what was about to happen...a new member was on their way.....

"Main paanch tak ginoon gi aur agar Armaan tab tak mere saamne nahin aya mein...mein...mein......mein......mein.....zindagi bhar us se baat nahin karrongi" Riddhima yelled.

"Ridzi Armaan...woh..." Atul didnt know what to say. It was Sid's turn to give it a shot, "Riddhima thoda toh sabar karo...".

"SABAR...mein sabar karoon, MAIN USKE BACHE KO JANAM DENE WAALI HOON AUR WOH...WOH..." Riddhima was obviously angry.

"Okay okay....give me a minute" Sid ran out of the delivery room and ran to Shilpa.

"Shilpa...kahaan hai Armaan, Riddhima uski jaan le li gi" he said.

"Siddy maine use abhi phone kiya, woh aur Muskaan, anjali kp pick up karne gaye hain aur unki gaadi ka tire puncture ho gaya hai...they're stuck" she finished.

"Hey Bhagwan ab kya hoga" he said.

"Armaan ka murder ho ga" Shilpa added with a smile.

"Tumhe har baat mein joke kaise mil jaata hai" he asked.

"Ainvayi" she responded. "aur waise bhi, jis ladki ko tum jaise joke mil jaye toh, aur saare jokes thode kam..." Sid didn't let her finish. He pulled her in and said "Ms. Malhotra agar tumne mujhe phir se joke kaha toh main...main..."

"kya, tum kya karo ge Siddy" she said.

"...main sab ko bata doonga ki Dr. Shilpa har hafte Gurudwara aur madir jaati hai, aur Dr. Shilpa har picture mein aanson baha ti hai, aur..." She stopped him.

"Acha dheek hai dheek hai, aur blackmail karne ki zaroorat nahin hai" she said.

He smiled. "Waise Dr. Sid, aap mera haath chodenge please" she added. Sid shook his head, and pulled her in closer. "Nahin" he whispered.

"Chodo warna..." she said. "Warna kya" he asked.

"...JAAN LE LOON GI MEIN", Riddhima was now screaming.

Shilpa laughed, "Mil gaya jawab" she said "...ab jao aur kisi na kisi tarreke se Armaan ko lekar aao warna ek new born ke saath saath is mein hospital do murders bhi ho jayenge".

Sid let go, the two were about to walk to their own directions, when he took her hand once again and pulled her in for the second time.

"Ab kya hai" she said.

"Jab tum Siddy kehti ho na, toh bahut acha lagta hai" he said, and with that he kissed her cheek and walked off to try and get Armaan back to the hospital.

Atul came out running from the delivery room Shilpa was shocked to see him. He was drenched.

"Tujhe kya hua?" she said, laughing.

"Ridzi..." he said "pura ka pura paani ki jug..." he added. Shilpa burst out in laughter.

"Itna mat hasson, ab tumhari baari hai, jao andar..." he said.

"Mein?...mein lekin..." she didnt know how to avoid this one, the pregnancy had turned Riddhima into a fire breathing monster, one who scared almost every living soul in Sanjeevani. "Rahul...Rahul ne bhi toh abhi tak andar duty nahin kari..." she said.

"Rahul...woh raha Rahul" Atul said pointing to Rahul trying to catch his children who were wreaking havoc in the hospital. "Woh uske sar pe yellow paint dekh rahi ho....uski pyaari beti ka kaam hai, aur joh uske joote missing hai woh uske donon beton ka kaam hai..."

Shilpa knew she had lost that argument. "Fine..." she said, she took a deep breath and walked in.

"Di..." she was about to speak when Riddhima suddenly broke down.

Shilpa ran to her bedside and tried to calm her down. "Di, bas woh aata hi hoga, Sid abhi lene gaya hai..." she said.

"nahin....us gaddhe ke nahin mujhe Anji Di ki yaad aa rahi hai" she said.

"Woh aa hi rahin hai...promise, woh bhi pahunch rahi hoongi" Shilpa tried her best to clam Riddhima down, but she cried even more. "Mama aur Papa toh abhi London mein hain...." she squealed.

"Di...main hoon na, right here, don't worry" Shilpa said. Riddhima smiled, but just for a second before screaming so loud that Shilpa feared she may have just gone deaf. After hearing that Dr. Keerti ran in, she checked Riddhima and said, "That's it we cant wait anymore, this baby is almost here".

"Nahin...Dr. Keerti, Armaan...ArmAAAANNNNNN" she tried to hold off but it was of no use.

"Dr. Shilpa....get Riddhima to delivery room FAST." Dr. Keerti asserted.

At the front gates of Sanjeevani, Armaan and Muskaan finally arrived with Anjali.

"kahaan hai woh..." Armaan said in a panic.

Shilpa came running, "Armaan she's been wheeled into the delivery room...RUN".

"SHIT" said Armaan and he ran inside, Sid and Shilpa followed.

Atul stood at the gates just staring at Anjali. "Tum kitni badal gayi ho Anjali mein toh..." Atul was tearing up.

"Shut up Atul...mein sirf do hafte ke liye conference pe gayi thi" she said.

"Haan lekin...doorie sahi jaye na Anajli" he said.

"Atul....you're hopeless" she asserted and walked inside.

Muskaan too ran inside but instead of going to the delivery she ran straight to Rahul, and when she saw him she couldn't help but laugh. "Tujhe kya hua" she said.

"Tere bache meri jaan le lein gein" he said.

"Oye...mere bachon ke baare mein kuch mat bol" she said and went in to her children.

"Ab chalien...Riddhima ne chila chila kar sab ko bula liya hai" Rahul said and the two headed to the delivery room and joined everyone else.

Atul, Sid and Rahul were nervously pacing while the girls were trying to take care of Rahul and Muskaan's children.

"Waise Muskaan...aditya aur sameer sach mein bahut pyaare hain" Shilpa said, playing with the two boys.

"Koi pyaare nahin hain...toofan hain dono...toofan" Rahul interrupted.

"Bas tujhse nahin sambhale jaate" Muskaan said "apni galati mere beton pe mat dalo" she added.

"But my favourite is Sana" Anjali said playing with Muskaan's daughter.

"Haan....yeh dekho Sana ke kaam" Rahul said while pointing to his yellow hair.

Everyone laughed. "Mujhse zaada dukhi insaan toh ho nahin sakta" Rahul said. But he was about to proven wrong. Armaan just walked out of the delivery room.

"Kya hua Armaan" said a worried Anjali. "Riddhima dheek hai na" added Atul.

"Sab dheek hai...bilkul dheek hai" Armaan answered.

"Tu bahar kyon aaya" Sid asked.

"Aaya nahin, nikaal diya gaya...." Armaan frowned.

"Kyon" asked Rahul.

"Ummm....actually....woh kya hai na ki....." Armaan was obviously hesitating.

"Oye...kya hua? Ab bol bhi" Muskaan asserted.

"Yaar...maana ki main thoda late ho gaya lekin itni violence....yeh dekh..." Armaan pulled up his sleeve to reveal scratch marks all over his arms. "...noch noch ke mujhe...pata kitna dard hota hai" Armaan finished.

"Armaan...tujhe dard ho raha hai?" Anjali asked, rather sarcastically.

"Haan yaar khoon nikal raha hai....toh gusse maine accidentally....ummm galati se....." Armaan could not finish.

"Kya Armaan...." Atul asked.

"Mere mu se galati se Jungli Billi nikal gaya" he finished.

"WHAT?" there was a unison response.

"Tumne Riddhima ko uski delivery ke waqt par jungle billi kaha?" Shilpa asked.

"Armaan tum....tu..." Anjali didnt have the words.

"Bola na Sorry...baar baar bola lekin....usne...."

"Usne kya.....tujhe bhaar nikal diya" Sid finished Armaan's sentence.

"Haan LekiNNNNN...." Just as suddenly as he had stepped out one of the nurses suddenly pulled him back into the room.

The scene outside the delivery was actually a unique one, not only because of the people there but also because perhaps for the first time in history the husband was screaming more than the expecting mother. Armaan's screams had filled every corner of Sanjeevani. Everyone was trying to figure out why that was the case but they decided it was best to wait until after the delivery.

An hour later....

Dr. Keerti walked out and announced that Riddhima had just given birth to a baby boy, she invited everyone to go inside and congratulate the parents. And instantly the room was full, everyone hugged and congratulated the parents and got their chance to hold the little baby boy. Finally it was time for the most important question.

"Baby ka naam kya rakhna hai" Sid asked.

Armaan and Riddhima looked at each other and then at everyone else.

"Let me guess...tum dono ne ek naam socha hai" Anjali said.

"Aur ab decide nahin kar paa rahe" added Muskaan.

Both Armaan and Riddhima nodded.

"EK MINUTE" said Rahul "Armaan...tu itna chila kyon raha tha" he asked.

Atul and Sid added a "Haan yaar"

Riddhima instantly looked away and Armaan gave Riddhima the "look". He then pulled out his hand from his pocket, it was bandaged. Everyone laughed.

"It's not funny" said an irritated Armaan "Riddhima madam ko haath pakad ne ki kuch zaada ji zaroorat thi" he added.

"Well done Riddhima" said Rahul.

"Names!" said Shilpa, reminding everyone of the dilemma.

"Haan...naam" Sid said.

"Riddhima pehle tum batao...tumhari choice" Anjali said.

"Amit" said Riddhima. There was an "Awww" that followed from all the girls in the room.

"Armaan..tumhara naam" asked Atul.

Armaan hesitated a little.

"Bol na" said Sid.

"Koi gusse mat hona dheek hai, lekin..." Armaan tried to talk.

"Ab bol bhi yaar...kya naam rakhna chahata hai tu apne bete ka?" asked Rahul.

"Atul" said Armaan.

Atul was shocked and so was everyone else.

"Champ..." Armaan couldn't speak. Both Atul and Armaan were now teary eyed.

"Armaan...mere bhai...tu...tum" Atul didnt even bother to finish the sentence he pushed Anjali aside and dived to go hug Armaan.

"Get a room!" Shilpa said.

"Armaan....itni na insaafi yaar" said Rahul.

"Hum kya kam hai" Sid added.

"Pata tha...yeh hona tha" Armaan said "Sid...kya tu sach mein chahata hai ki Riddhima ke bete ka naam Siddhant ho?" Armaan asked.

Sid looked at Riddhima and then at Shilpa. "Umm....ummmm..." he didnt know how to answer that. He looked at Shilpa again who was shaking her head.

"Nahin" he said.

"I thought so" Armaan said "Aur tu Rahul...saale do bete hain tere...kisi ka bhi naam Armaan rakha?" he added.

"Haan...lekin...lekin" Rahul didnt have an answer.

"Haan!" Armaan asserted, "Aur waise bhi mujhe pata hai champ bhi apne bete ka naam Armaan rakhe ga, kyon champ?" Armaan asked.

"NO! Mere bete ka naam Armaan nahin ho sakta"

Everyone was shocked, and most of all Atul. They could not believe that Anjali had just said that.

"anjali..." "anji.." "Di..." Everyone was stunned.

Atul took a step towards Anjali, "Anjali....." Atul was speechless. "Tum...main...armaan..." he didnt have the words.

"Anji?" asked a shocked Armaan.

"Di" said a stunned Riddhima. All eyes were on Anjali, who didn't seem so taken aback by what had just happened.

"What?" Anjali said, rather casually.

"Anji yaar tumne abhi abhi....Atul....Armaan....matlab bache..." Muskaan tried to ask a question but could quite get it out.

"What guys? Tum sabh itna shocked kyon ho. Tum sab ko pata tha ki honi toh meri shaadi Atul ke saath hi hai" she finished.

Atul literally fainted.

"Oye...ATUL" Sid and Rahul ran to Atul, while everyone else was still staring at Anjali.

"Oh Atul..." said Anjali with a smile.

"Anji...matlab tum ab Atul se shaadi?" Armaan asked. Anajli simply responded with a nod.

"Di I knew it, Atul is just so sweet, kitna pyaar karta hai woh aap se, aapko pata hai jab aapki delivery toh woh sab se pehle aapke saath khada hoga" Riddhima finished while looking at Armaan.

"Ho gaya na yaar...bol diya sorry...ab jaan lo gi kya" Armaan said.

Finally Atul woke up, he got up and took a step towards Anjali, he was about to talk but...

"Shut up Atul!" said Anjali "Shaadi teen mahine ke baad hogi aur ek simple court marriage hogi aur iss waqt agar tumne us baare mein baat kari toh sab cancel" she finished.

Atul was stunned.

"Teri toh life ban gayi Champ" said Armaan.

"Haan oye Atul Mubarak ho yaar teri zindagi ka maksat pura ho gaya" added Muskaan.

"Congratulations Atul" Shilpa said. There was just so much joy in the room that everyone had forgotten the dilemma at hand. Until of course Riddhima cleared her throat rather loudly...

"Atul" she said.

"Bol na Ridz" responded Atul.

"Nahin...Atul...is chotte se prince ka naam, aaj meri family mein do do Atul add hue hain" Riddhima said.

Everyone smiled.

"Thank you Riddhima" said Atul as he went in to give her a hug.

"Oye Champ...Riddhima sirf aur sirf teri saali hai...yaad rakhna!" said Armaan.

"Armaan!" said Riddhima.

"Sorry...lekin sach mein thank you Riddhima" said Armaan as he knelt down to kiss his wife on the forehead and then he carefully took his new born into his arms, kissed him and said, "Welcome...Atul Malik"

"Acha ab chalo, Ridhhima Di ko thoda aaraam karne do" Shilpa said.

Everyone agreed and one by one everyone made their way outside to the waiting area. It was now Armaan, Riddhim and their little Atul.

"Armaan...." Riddhima said.

"Bolo basket" he answered. She gestured and asked him to come closer. He put little Atul in the crib beside the bed and went to sit beside Riddhima. She looked slowly took his hand into hers, she kissed the bandaged hand and looked deep into his eyes and said "I love you Armaan"

Armaan smiled. "Oyye Hoyye" he said.
