Foreword: scene 6th december 2010. The scene is a personal favourite,as it stands out as mostly non-verbal where actions speak louder than words.Dutta's persona as a man of action with very few words is brought out, also Nakku's silent ,helpless looks cover an inner strength. When the two finally strike verbal contact,it appears a battle betwit the two, where both justify their personal stand and grounding behind individual actions. My continuation is just a feeble attempt at showing what might have transpired if the verbal action might have continued perchance...Love's SoreDutta kicks the cushion on the floor and makes his way to leave his room, whilst Nakku looks on in abject saddness and hopelessness. Saab whimpers Nakku, Dutta stops midway between her and the door. Hmmm, he murmers without facing her, Saab, she repeats, mujhe samajh nahi hai aap ko kis baat ka ghusahai?, he reels around, and she can visibly see his frigid eyes, and stiff mouth spells anger ,but more so shock at her nerve to question him. Dutta parts his lips and spurts out Kya boli tu?! Saab, she repeats kis baatse naraz ho?. He stiffens his head and moves defiantly towards her with slight briskness than normal, but stops at the foot of his bed. Kis baat se? he poses a question upon her question, looking at her with narrow eyes, and shortly fires another question towards her, Ye sawaal tu apne ap se pooch Nakku?. She becomes helpless under his querying onslaughts and feels her wounded arm nimbly with her little quivering hand before disintegrating into tears. Dutta decides to soften a tad,as he observes her tears, he points to her wonded arm, Haan yehe tu Nakku! ye tera ghao!, pun Saab aap ko bas! he raises his palm and points his erect fore finger at her, Thujhe beech mein aany ki kya zaroorat thi? he quizzes her furiously, Balkay thujhe wahan aaney ki kya zaroorat thi? he continues to raise his voice, Woh Saab mein whispers Nakku, Ghup! ek dum ghup!, Nakku mujhe apna dhunday mein teri madaat ki zaroorat nahi,he hollers, Pun Saab,Nakku tearfully urges on, Mein aap ki patni hai,aap ki rahsha karna mera faraz bunta hai!.The corners of his mouth bent downwards stubbornly and his narrow raging eyes softened at her response which was as he expected from her, and he walks past the foot of the bed and comes around sits on the edge of the beside her. Dutta examines her with helpess eyes, with slightly twitched eye brows, and he looks intently into her watery eyes,as he attempts to reason with her ,as opposed to gunning her... Nakku, teri jaan bhi ja sakte thi ,he explains to her,and suddenly stands up beside her and continues speaking, or aggar aisa ho ja ta ,tou Dutta aapnay ap ko kabhi maf nehi karta! Nakku cluthes on to his tender gaze which he pours on her while he stands. He breaks away from the eye contact and on hearing her snivel,he bends on the beside table ,pulls out a tissue from the tissue box and passes it to Nakku icely. He watches her as she dabs her eyes and face dry, and says, Bas kar aur tu aram kar, abhi main chalta hai. Nakku catches him glance at her again before he turns and gradually walks out of his room, with her in his bed! Nakku can clearly see that his on displayfrosty armour of steel, stands in contrast with the camoulage of pain and hurt that bubbles inside him. She also knows where he is heading for to drown his trauma, his usual temporary painkiller ,alcohol!Heavily Nakku considers,if only he can let go of his insecurities, his fear of facing betrayal, his disbelief in the sincerity of her love, his in acceptance of the sanctity of marriage,at least this time.. But when that can be,only time can tell, untill then she can continue to nurse her love's sore...
beautifully done hamlet...thank you so much...u know this was one scene where i found that he felt discomforted by the closeness between them...when the mangalsutra got suck and he was so close to her...i could sense a man's need in him for first time...otherwise he had always been so restrained with her...thats why i felt that the SR on 28th march should have been treated with some more patience and time...but alas...but still we can have such a beautiful scene here..right!
