Okay, here's a whole new take on things!! Please bear with me and read the whole post before you come after me with belans and dandas! 😆
How about if RBO track itself were ended on a very pleasant note. What I mean is, after the Sasha track, the following happens in fast forward mode:
- Khanak & Khusboo both get pregnant
- Sunil & Madhavi become dada dadi of two girls (yeah, India certainly needs more girl babies 😊)
- Shaan sets up and successfully runs a music recording company
- RaJen - aah, don't really care
Finally, a whole family picture is shown with Sunil & Madhavi in greying hair, with two teenage granddaughters, and a happy Shanak , Akshay Khusboo. The End.
Here's where you come after me with belans and dandas. But hang on! 😛
NOW the interesting part.
RBO RE-STARTS AFRESH with a whole new story line where Shanak get to woo each other all over again. No punar janam melodrama but completely keeping with the meaning and essence of the Rang Badalti Odhani title for sure. Yasharan will certainly again be the lead characters, and the rest, Sunil, Madhavi, Akshay, Khusboo, Ducks and even Suraj can be interwoven into the new story line as needed. What say? 😛
The big question is if the channel will agree to this? Maybe Swapnaji can convince them...Taking this route will perhaps even reduce the risk of RBO wrapping up since it has been running for an year now. Not to mention there is lot more scope for Shanak to portray their talent in a new well defined story line instead of milking the last drop out of the current one. 😆
Assuming some of you like this approach, here's a few suggestions for the new story line:
- Aaina movie - starring Juhi Chawla, Jackie Shroff, and Amrita Singh - For those who haven't seen it, story is about two sisters, younger demure, caring, and resilient while the older is pretty, haughty, outgoing, and self obsessed. The hero falls for the older's beauty while the younger nurses a soft corner for him. On the day of marriage, older runs away to pursue an acting career, and younger(our Khanak) ends up getting married to the hero (our Shaan). Here on unfolds how they end up falling in love. Of course the sister comes back to claim Shaan back for added masala.
- Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman - Juhi, SRK, Amrita Singh. Already imagining Shanak in 'Kehti hai dil ki lagi' song. 😍😳
