15th April

Whilst I sit here and relax with my feet up.. Thought why not do the food for thought for Friday's epi.

The time has come and Adharsh has finally started to voice his maan ki awaz infront of his own family, Occasionally leading to Sax hanging his down in shame. As Sax knows that he is taking things to far. I'm glad that Adharsh slowely but surely in reinventing himself. There is nothing wrong in his belief.. Innovation and change is the way forward into tomorrows world. A professor who is suppossed to teach and preach to the different generations should know this first alphabet of leadership, as he is considered to be leading his students and preparing them for the life ahead.

I do not accept that the bribery issue is acceptable - because I believe you should not bite the hand that feeds you. You should be loyal to your workplace and treat it like you would your own business.

Regarding the promotion - So what if SS gave a recommendation for a promotion. Adharsh is capable of doing the work.. He hadn't got the opportunity to get to that position (due to whatever circumstances). I am satisfied with the fact that he has the capability of doing the work he is put in that chair to do. It's not like he has been put into a position shere he is not doing the job and just sitting there making money. Either way he is working and earning in a different more better job role.

Loved the patronizing Thaks. Am glad of the comment made by Amma, "does your family give such respect to our Baba?" the answer is NO, A BIG FAT NO!. They don't even give him a cup of their chai. Buscuits, mitaai, rotti, food is out of the question.
In all fairness SS talked about how Shyaam should run his house. But that is not really his concern. No one in my family drink alcohol so I have never been around alcohol, hence I would not like it in my house' So to be fair to the Sax's there are house rules that Komal should obey. Though I didn't like the way Daadi use her threatening behavior with Komal, she could have told her nicely. The way the Sax's try and resolve the situation is wrong, especially that old Daadi so then they end up making things worse for themselves.

Pratigya's input, was valid.. BUT the tone wasn't. The situation was between the Adharsh, Thaks and Komal, her preaching him was almost like the day when he interfered in her matters. Pratigya's passion is understandable, but the Sax's are not always right and nor have they accepted Komal as their own yet. Loved KN's expressions and Piyasiya's expressions at that point.

I liked, Adharsh's explanation that Sax is stuck in the books, Pratigya admits that Sax doesn't know duniya daari. So what is the point of being this educated when you cannot apply them in real life. It's okay if he wants to live like that ' but he should not force then unto others, or condemn those who do not follow it.

Baba's input.. yes there is no separate Chula in this house' But you have to as an elder brother.. responsible for marrying your sister into that house should find out her story too. Komal had no choice but to cook separately. So I'm glad that Komal had a chance to reveal this.

Prof has a lot of izzath'.. what izzath? After what Arushi did. She's ruined their izzath. Where was the izzath when Shamu was rolling around the floor at Mathurs feet?

In the end.. it's Back to Baba pacifying Pratigya.. because yet again she is upset over the Sax's. Nice ending on the cute laughter..

Overall a lovely epi'. Just wrote what I rem from the epi' there were a lot of points in this epi.

Will reply as soon as i can.

Carishma thanks for the food for thought still missing yr laughing comments. hope to see it soon. now abt the epsidoe it had too much information. if somebody recommends u and u r capable it is o.k. now we all know SS so what he will do the next minute we don;t know. so adharsh has to be careful and he is taking bribes that SS didn;t tell him why he is doing that. he got he promotion then just do yr job. now abt komal. she can use separate kitchen but why non-veg she knew they don;t like it in the house. then why don;t eat outside. they didn;t tell her not to eat and all. they said only outside. i can understand that. because i myself is veg but my husband and kids eat nonveg and i don;t cook non-veg at home also. it is people's choice.see prats also doesn;t tell krishna not to eat meat. that day in hotel he was eating non-veg next to her and in the house also they all eat. she doesn;t eat. see she adjusted.s o komal also have to adjust. now when prats said something she told that her dad is like that .it is a daughter defending her father. as daughter she is more attached to her father. i don;t blame her. here adarsh should have taken a good step he didn;t do. it is his lack of responsibility.

I do not like this Krishna at all. He is a great husband, no doubt, good dhamad ofcourse for the reasons known to him alone, good son in most cases, but not a good elder brother to an younger sister married into a house which was neither a choice of hers or her parents. In a way, she made a sacrifice for her brother's sake. With the kind of guts she has, she could have refused the marraige.
And I remember the scene between K and Komal before marriage where she says that she is scared and he says Dont be scared as I am here to help you. And I do not remember one instance till now where he supported or helped his younger sister.
Agree that he knows the nature of Komal and her ways to get things her way, but he is too confident that she is completely wrong and the saxena's are completely correct based on the brief description given by Shamu. He is not a witness of a single situation at GH that happened between Komal and her well mannered sasural wale, but he can jump to a conclusion that the fault is on her side.
I wish Komal could have had a better brother than Krishna.

I totally agree... he always sees her fault in everything. Even between Adharsh and Komal he always iched Adharsh's side. I understand his point - he doesn't want to give her a big head and stir between them.. But he has to be fair and listen to her.

Thank you, and u're very right in your comments. Adharsh.. shows a fairly okay balance of a boy who wants to do right by his family and also move on in the world and somewhat keep his wife happy aswell. He got into the bribery situation after he over heard his father talking to Naina and telling her that he made a mistake being so straight in lfe. Adharsh was in a terrible situation when he ended up in a wheelchair and then was ridiculed by the likes of Jai... His state of mind wasn't straight. After that he broke the barriers. I know many here are not interested in Adharsh for many reasons.. But when it comes to a battle between the SAX'S and Adharsh - I would say Adharsh is more right.

SS 's intentions of getting Adharsh the promo was not done out of a positive reason.. it was to break the Sax household as he believed that Pratz was breaking the Thaks household. But after that the situation changed and Kesar's pregnancy etc was revealed.
I agree that Komal should not really eat meat in the house... But then there is a way of explaining it to her nicely, then she will understand. But they just turn their noses up at her.
Yes Pratigya is attached to her father.. All us girls are... but then she has to understand too that the generations
have changed.. My god right now she only knows the truth about the promo... and she was offended. It was okay for her to spk on her fathers behalf.. " My father believes that etc.".
But then she was telling Adharsh right infront of the rest of the family acting like they were not there that "Why do you not say this, why are you listening". The tone was wrong.. it could just make matters worse. Pratigya has come a long way.. and no doubt she has put up with a lot of crap. But for her own betterment as I have always stated she needs to be more diplomatic to be effective. No one will understand .. or want to understand anything from a peorson who is ranting and shouting, but if some one explains in a more calmer tone people will automatically be drawn to listen. Human nature. But Pratigya is intended like this to be a Bashan Raani and many young girls are.. The CV's have purposefuly left her like this as .. this character also has to have some room for improvement like the other characters. Hence Pratigya's bashan's no longer anger me.
