I AM LIVING MY DREAM

SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT IS IN THE LIMELIGHT WITH SEVERAL FILM OFFERS AWAITING HIM,FINDS PURNIMA GOSWAMI SHARMA

Andheri-based television actor Sushant Singh Rajput,popularly known as Manav of Pavitra Rishta,may not have won Jhalak Dikhla Ja 4 but,it has opened new doors for him.
It was a good experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.My choreographer,Shampa,and I creatively explored different dance forms and won perfect scores many times, says Rajput who won the Most Spotless Jodi award at the show.
With Shiamak Davar calling to congratulate him,the boy now has several noteworthy film offers.A lot is happening.I havent decided anything yet, says Rajput who is finally recognized by his real name instead of merely as Manav.

Interestingly,Rajputs story is quite colourful.Though he was always fascinated by the stage,he went on to pursue an engineering
degree at the
Delhi School
of Engineering.He even bagged a scholarship but,the stage beckoned and the boy did not complete his degree.Instead I joined Shiamak Davar's troupe as a dancer, says Rajput whose first performance was at the Commonwealth Games in Australia,followed by the Filmfare awards.
I am happy I followed my heart, smiles the boy who has had a chance to perform with theatric greats,Barry John and Nadira Babbar.
Television happened to the Delhi-born actor with the serial,Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil,followed by dance show,Zara Naach Ke Dikha.
But,as much as he loves facing the camera,he also loves working behind it.Having assisted Mohit Suri for Raaz 2,as an assistant director,Rajput is now involved in making three documentaries on different subjects: Life of King Stephen,Schizophrenia and a silent love story.
Sounds different Well,so does his fitness regime.I like to pursue martial arts.I have learnt kick-boxing and now Im training in Wing Chun,the Chinese martial art and Kungfu form of exercise, he smiles.
So what of the love of his life,Ankita Lokhande,to whom he proposed on Jhalak We are committed to each other.But,marriage will take some time.Both of us are concentrating on our career right now.
The journey so far has been amazing.I am living my dream.I am glad I followed my heart, grins the actor who is now planning to go to New York to study filmmaking.
