Mumbai, May 9: YOU'VE been bad, now prepare to be really bad,'' was director Ketan Mehta's brief to Akashdeep Saigal before casting him as Usman bin Laden in his new political thriller Timebomb. Long hair, pathani suit, AK-47 and trademark scowl—all the makings of the ultimate baddie who looks as if he's geared to pull off another 9/11 in New York City. ''In the story, I'm carrying my dying father Osama across Afghanistan and being chased by American troops,'' he says. The terrain of the war-torn country have been shot in Manali. Despite being shot dead by Tulsi on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi, and playing the conniving Trishul on Kkusum, this is definitely as bad as it gets. ''My character is pure evil, he'll stop at nothing in the name of jehad,'' Saigal laughs. Kksusum's Trishul will soon land himself in jail after being accused of murder. While he's running from the cops, a car throws him off the road and the driver turns out to be his father Abhay. ''But instead of picking me up and nursing my wounds, he promptly hands me over to the police,'' he says. Obviously, it'll be nothing like the real thing. Saigal won't wear an inmate's uniform, he gets to keep his suits and peer from behind makeshift bars at Sankraman studios. ''But my secret fantasy has always been to take a tour of Tihar jail.'' Hold your breath—his character will soon be losing his marbles. Apparently, he has told the script writers of Kkusum that he wanted to escape from prison by pretending he was crazy.TAKE CARE ANOLI XXX |
