Part 28:
Mayank and Nupur entered the hall in the morning with an expression of having mission to be accomplished, on their faces, no not for the mission so as to convince Sameer and Shilpa Sharma for a world tour instead of themselves, that would come as a task for them or rather Nupur later that day....so that they go on the day of their anniversary..that is after Mayank had arranged for the tickets on their anniversary, once they say yes...
But today the task was different....something that Nupur had asked as a price to Mayank for her convincing act...Mayank looked at Nupur and then at Ma and Dad...for a change Nupur glared at Mayank rather than Mayank glaring at everyone occasionally....
Mayank heeaded towards Ma and Dad followed by a, now, very excited Nupur...

"Nupur tum itni khushi se mujhse kya maangne ke baare mein soch rahi ho......dekho mujhe gift ki jyaada samajh nahi hai, toh main tumhe apna credit card de doonga...tumhe jo chahiye tum apne liye khus hi le lena..theek hai" Mayank tried to sound convincing
Nupur looked at him in dis-believe and said, "Woh toh main jaanti hoon...shopping jaisi interesting cheez toh tumhe bore karegi hi...pata nahi tumhe aur kya kya sikhana padega
mujhe...khair filhaal ke liye woh chod do...mujhe tumse return mein kuch aur maangna hai...jo sirf tum hi kar sakte ho" Nupur completed smiling
Mayank asked all perplexed, "Kya?"
Nupur replied smiling again, "Bas kal subah Ma aur Dad ke break-fast table par Good Morning ke saath saath ek chota sa Hug bhi de dena unhe....umm, tum chaho toh side hug bhi chalega"
Mayank was shocked at what she wanted in return, "Nupur, of all the things tum yeh kyun maang rahi ho....i mean...kyun?....aur isme tumhara kya faayda?"
Nupur showed him her palm trying as if in a defensive stance while she spoke, "Mayank...har kaam faayde ke liye nahi hota...maine dekha hai..tum Ma aur Dad ko itna pyaar karte ho.....infact, sab kuch unke liye karte ho...toh jatate kyun nahi....unhe achcha lagega...trust me..."
Mayank tried to argue, "Nupur, jo tum dekh sakti ho, i am sure ki woh bhi dekh sakte hain....yeh sab ki kya zaroorat hai?...woh mujhe jaante hain..."
Nupur counter argued, "Haan jaante hain...par zaroorat kyun nahi hai...bilkul hai..hum jinse pyaar karte hain...woh bhale hi ye baat samjhe...par agar tum aisa karoge toh unhe bahot achcha lagega...aur tumhe bhi...jataana har baar zaroori nahi hai Mayank...par, yahi moments aur guestures hote hain jo hamare liye pyaari yaadein aur life ke special moments bante hain......" she said keeping her hand on his shoulder which she immediately removed on his glare...
Mayank then replied stubbornly folding his hands, "Aur agar main mana kar doon toh.....?"
Nupur replied a little frustrated, "Mayank...tum bilkul ziddi bachche ki tarah ho....jiska badhta dimaag itne reasons soch sakta hai ki ussi ka nuksaan kara de...par theek hai agar tum mana karoge toh....haan, toh main......main tumhare office mein aakar yeh declare karoongi ke unn sabke Boss Mayank Sharma ne mujhse challenge lagaya tha
jo woh haar gaye...aur ab punishment mein woh sabke saamne apna favourite gaana gaayenge...mazaa aayega naa..."
Mayank glared at Nupur and sort of feared in heart that Nupur actually had the capacity to do it, but his glare little affected Nupur and her brows moved up and down in question with a winning smile on her face...

Mayank came slowly and smiled to his Ma and said, "Good Morning Ma..." and then looking at Nupur, he bent down to side hug her on the chair on which she was sitting on...
Shilpa Sharma smiled with surprise and patted his back saying, "A very Good Morning to you too Beta..."
Then Mayank felt really out of place to repeat the same with his Dad....but he did and his dad was shocked with surprise but he too wished him Good Morning with a tough pat on his shoulders and Mayank sat down on the dining table having completed his task...
Nupur repeated the same as Mayank and smiled away to glory while looking at Mayank and clapped her hands lightly only to show it to Mayank which made him laugh a little and he shaked his head at the amount of curiosity in Nupur and also on the nervousness he had earlier for such a simple thing...
Shilpa Sharma placed her hand on Nupur's and said, "Waah Nupur...mujhe tumse yahi umeed thi...tumne toh mere bin bigade bete ko bhi sudhaar diya....thanks...koi nazar utaro meri bahu ki..."
This embarrased Mayank now while Nupur smiled at all for being adored like this......

Mayank and Nupur were now standing in the balcony...both were looking in the direction of the sky...
Nupur replied smiling, "Dekha...maine kaha tha naa..ki unhe bhi...aur tumhe bhi..achcha lagega..."
Mayank smiled and said, "Okay ....theek hai...iss baar actually tumhari jeet hui....par tum bhoolna mat....iske badle mein tumne kya promise kiya hai..." Mayank completed
coming to terms with it...
Nupur smiled and said, "ByGod Mayank..thoda toh bharosa rakho mujh par...main kahin bhaagi nahi jaa rahi hoon..jo kaha hai..kar ke dikhaoongi...
Mayank looked at her with trust and fascination in his eyes...she was being so sweet to him...she was bringing his family close and was being a part of it too...sooner than one could manage...she was being like a real friend to him now...sharing his space and thoughts quicker than he could give permission for...and was still being so herself and still adjusting a lot to all these new things...and with her various shades, she was being the most adorable person one could ever be...may be life was really more beautiful through her eyes...
Nupur looked at the genuine eyes and smile of his....he was such a cute guy....he certainly was the most honest and truthful person she had come across...she had come across many guys in college who claimed of love etc to her...but she certainly didn't believe even 1% in those guys...as she did in everything he sadi....whatever be it....he was sure one of a kind...where other's proclaimed to publicize fake love and care most of the time...Mayank faked rudeness and indifference to all even when he was 1 concerned person to whom he actually cared about...never believed in show offs...even though he truely loved his parents, he hesitated so much from showing it...even though he showed no care attitude to her...still he came to her rescue when she needed him...he became friends with her and was actively participating to keep their friendship alive....agreeing to do what she said most of the time...with a Sadu attitude but still fulfilling the necessary....
Mayank and Nupur didn't realize when thinking about each other....they had found themselves lost in each other's eyes with sweet smiles endorsing their lips and thoughts...
It was when the White Satin curtain had finslly obstructed their view of each other's eyes that they realised the need to come out of their trance.....
The curtain had pulled Nupur's hair fringes onto her face and over her eyes and lips covering almost her half face....Mayank felt like putting that aside as it was obstructing his view more than hers somehow....but he kicked that thought soon out of his conscious brain while Nupur managed on her own and smilingly said to him, "Mayank..tum bahut sweet ho..." and moved inside the room to sleep followed by Mayank...
Mayank asked keeping his hands on himself, "Sweet.......main?"
Nupur chuckled at his reaction and said, "Nahi Main" and soon swiched off her bed side's lamp to have a sweet, peaceful sleep now....
While Mayank wondered about her brain process more and more to have found him sweet..........then finally giving up...he went to sleep too...
