Will Mridang release money for Amarti's ransom?

I think he will not give any money. Even if he wants to, I am sure Gau will speak up and make some excuse before Mridang can even open his mouth.

I am surprised so much happened and the family did not even ONCE question Mridala about Prakash.

Since they can't call the police, they at least have to pay Prakash off to save Amarti and get rid of him. This is not a decoy.

P.S. Vik, you can write the update, but there was nothing much to it. Sudha persuaded Murli to go to Bharti and apologize, and take her along as well, since there was some misunderstanding b/w her & Bharti. So they both went there, and found Dhara tied and gagged. They untie her, and she is freaked out and tells them that Amarti have been abducted by Prakash. In the meantime, Prakash & FF are in a warehouse, where Prakash is torturing Amit, and Bharti asks her to just call her father and demand whatever. Prakash decides to call Murli, despite Bharti telling him that the marriage is over. Prakash demands that Murli ask Rupesh to turn him over 5 lakhs, and from Murli's side, he wants 2 lakhs plus all the jewelry for Veena. He then cuts the call. Murli then calls his dad and describes everything, and Bansi tells his family all. Veena brings in the jewelry, while Bansi begs Mridang to give him the money needed. (That's what I was describing above)

The money from the sale of the house is not Mridang's to give over. This belongs to Bansi as it was his house in the first place. So, why does Mridang have any say in this at all? Basi should just order Mridang to give back the money.

Precisely!!! And that should have been forced when Mridang refused to help fund Murli's business. However, since the Lals have grovelled b4 him earlier and let him keep it, now they have no choice but to beg.

If Gau is not going to be kicked out of this house, one graceful way would be for her to lose Mridang's support totally. After the Prakash thing is over, I'd like him to take that money and give it to Murli to help start his business, and work there w/ him. Include Veena & Sudha as employees. That would enable Sudha to support herself, and if Murli does not end up w/ her but returns to Bharti, Sudha can at least make a roof over her head.

When Gau went upstairs and objected, he first told her that from today, whatever she wants, the opposite will happen. He then tells her that if she can't think of other people, at least think of their own plight - if Prakash or FF rat on them, they'll land up in jail, and that cash will be useless. Gau sees his point, and finally he threatens her, and Gau takes out the cash!!!

So Mridang is no longer Gau's puppet! Good for him!
