Bollywood blockbuster Band Baaja Baaraat is all set to be remade in Tamil soon. Guess who will play the role of goal-oriented Shruti Kalakaar (originally played by Anushka Sharma)? Tamannaah!

Band Baaja Baaraat narrates the story of Shruti Kalakaar, a 20-something no-nonsense girl from a middle class family. Focused and determined with preplanned ambitions, her goals in life are well laid out by the time she reaches her final year of college. Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), on the other hand, has no real aim in life. A chance and inopportune meeting (or as you would call it, fate) brings these two together on a tumultuous journey where they become partners in their very own; as 'Wedding Planners'.

Red Giant acquires Maveeran

It is known by all that noted Tollywood producer-distributer Allu Aravind's stupendous blockbuster Magadheera, directed by S.S. Rajamouli with Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, is being dubbed in Tamil as Maveeran. We have just learnt from the makers that the Tamil version will hit screens in May! According to sources Geetha Arts has tied up with Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies to release the film in Tamil. Meanwhile, the film will also be dubbed in Malayalam as Dheeran.

The biggest hit in the history of Telugu cinema, Magadheera recently completed 600 days in theatres. Produced under the banner of Geeta Arts, Magadheera was released worldwide on July 31 last year in around 1200 screens in 14 countries.
